Description

You will support the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (PACOM) J6 team with engineering, modernization and sustainment of its network.

The work centers on the MPE network, where secure, resilient and interoperable communications serve U.S. forces and mission partners across the Indo-Pacific.

You will work directly with government stakeholders and with engineers from several disciplines to turn operational priorities into technical results.

The company provides technology and mission services to U.S. government, defense and intelligence agencies, with about 26,000 staff working in more than 50 countries on AI, cloud, cyber and software development.

Responsibilities

  • Engineer, configure, integrate, test and sustain routed and switched network services that carry MPE and theater mission communications.
  • Write implementation procedures, network diagrams, device configuration baselines, test plans and as-built records for approved network changes.
  • Troubleshoot advanced problems with availability, routing, performance, interoperability and connectivity across partner and enterprise enclaves.
  • Lead or support refreshes, cutovers, redundancy tests and security fixes, and hand systems over to operations with minimal disruption to the mission.
  • Work with cybersecurity and configuration management teams to carry out authorized changes and document evidence for operational acceptance.

Requirements

  • Either technical training or certifications plus 12+ years of relevant experience in your role, mission area or an equivalent DoW or enterprise IT environment, or a B.S. in Computer Science plus 8+ years of experience.
  • Hold 8+ years of related experience in enterprise networking, network engineering, routing and switching.
  • Hold an active Secret clearance and be a U.S. citizen.
  • Be skilled in routing and switching, integrating enterprise networks, network diagnostics, and planning documentation and implementation.
  • Communicate well with government stakeholders, write clear engineering documents, judge risk, and coordinate with cyber, engineering and operations teams.
  • Preferred: Cisco CCNP, network automation, connectivity across multiple enclaves, or experience with DoD change control.
  • Preferred: experience with combatant commands, joint operations, service components, or coalition and mission partner environments.

Conditions

This is a full-time, onsite role at Hickam AFB in Hawaii, USA, with 40 scheduled hours per week and no travel required.

The likely salary range is $121,550 - $164,450. This is not a guarantee, as pay depends on experience, location and possibly contract terms, and may fall outside this range.

Hiring includes an identity check using biometrics and AI, and you must be on camera for virtual interviews. Biometric data is used only for identity verification and security.

  • A 401(k) with pre-tax and post-tax contributions up to IRS limits and a company match.
  • Full-flex work weeks where possible and when approved.
  • Paid vacation, sick and personal time, holidays, parental, military, bereavement and jury duty leave.
  • Short and long-term disability, life, accidental death and dismemberment, personal accident, critical illness, and business travel and accident insurance, provided or available.
