Middle/Senior Java Full Stack Developer

Description

The role is a Middle or Senior Java Full Stack Developer position, mainly on the back end with Java and Spring, taking about 70 to 80% of the work, plus some front-end work in React.js.

You will work with a team based in France while being the only team member in Romania for the respective team, especially in the first few months, so you will work with a high degree of independence.

Responsibilities

• Build, test and ship good-quality software, centred on Java and Spring back-end work and supported by React.js front-end work.
• Work with cross-functional colleagues to collect and analyse requirements, shape designs and build features that serve business needs.
• Review code from others, giving useful feedback and checking that coding standards and good practices are followed.
• Find and fix bugs and issues, keeping applications stable, fast and secure.
• Keep up with industry developments and new technologies, and keep building your skills.

Requirements

• Middle or Senior experience in software development.
• Solid grasp of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring, mainly on the back end.
• Good working knowledge of React.js.
• Understanding of microservices, hexagonal architecture, MVC and BFF/BFB.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or SQL databases.
• Experience with Git or other version control systems and with CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of containers and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Agile methods.
• Able to work on your own with a high degree of autonomy.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Optional: knowledge of Control-M.
• Optional: French, though it is not mandatory.
