Junior Fullstack Software Developer with French (Java & Angular)

Description

You will build application and system-level solutions with a global team, working hands-on with current technology alongside experts in Romania and France.

The role suits someone who enjoys clean design and debugging and can work in French.

The company's engineers in Romania design, develop and integrate systems for naval warfare, air traffic management, satellite solutions, and identity and biometric technology.

The role is for a developer who wants to draw on their own experience and take on technical challenges with new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical design, build and delivery of product features, based on solutions agreed with stakeholders.
• Help shape architecture decisions with support from the architects.
• Work with product analysts and QA to keep development and deployment smooth, alongside DevOps.
• Collaborate with R&D and SRE across several sites, applications and groups.
• Produce clean, practical software at application and system level, and build efficient data models.
• Document, develop and unit test software modules, and keep standard documentation up to date.
• Investigate and fix defects raised by customers, so products meet specifications and system integrity holds.
• Analyse performance routinely and optimise software.
• Report regularly on project status, technical risks and other relevant details.
• Work with Product Management, technical business analysts, QA and Global Operations to build high quality code that matches requirements documents.
• Share knowledge with teammates and bring your own strengths to the team.
• Deliver high quality work when priorities shift, and solve the varied problems that come with this new stack.

Requirements

• Intermediate French, at least B1.
• A master's degree or engineering diploma with relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Java Spring and Angular.
• Cloud-native development experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Familiarity with DevOps principles and continuous integration.
• Proven knowledge of programming languages and frameworks.
• Understanding of Agile frameworks.
• Motivation to work in an international environment in French and English.
• Experience designing, developing and testing secure software or components in a microservices architecture.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team, including remotely.
• Ability to solve problems and move work forward.
• Resourceful, inventive and solution-focused.
• Able to work independently and take ownership.
• Adaptable and able to respond well to change.
