Middle+ Project Manager (Remote, Contract)

Description

The company builds digital and AI-powered products and needs a project manager to run projects across departments, from first request to rollout.

This is a remote contract role for someone at a middle-plus level who can plan, staff and deliver work that changes how business processes run.

Responsibilities

• Take projects from start to finish and manage several at once across departments, keeping them on scope, on time and within budget.
• Plan each project yourself: design the solution, set the budget, assign people and resources, and manage risks.
• Study workflows and business processes, spot where they can improve, and turn those findings into clear project requirements.
• Improve business processes through research, process modeling, data analysis and gap analysis.
• Keep stakeholders involved throughout: pin down requirements, report progress, present results and set realistic expectations.
• Direct mixed business and technical teams, setting their scope, priorities and backlog.
• Lead implementation and change management so stakeholders engage and the rollout is smooth.
• Oversee how business systems, processes and technology solutions are brought together.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of project management experience, including projects taken from the initial request through to implementation.
• Experience in a product company or startup, working with internal stakeholders and users.
• Experience managing digital products, SaaS, technology or AI-related projects.
• Experience with AI-powered products, AI solutions or AI-enabled business processes.
• Hands-on experience improving business workflows and carrying changes through to implementation, beyond software development and standard SDLC work.
• English at Upper-Intermediate or Advanced level.
• Business analysis or product management background is a plus.
• Working knowledge of no-code or low-code tools such as n8n, Zapier, Make, Bubble or Bolt is a plus.
