Technical Implementation Project Manager (fixed-term)

Description

The role is a fixed-term position running 12-18 months.

The company's simulators let surgeons build skills and keep their performance up in a risk-free setting, using the same surgeon console they use in surgery.

The team is hiring a project manager to lead and support implementations and upgrades of the latest generation of the company's simulators. You will be the link between customers and the company's service teams, scheduling and coordinating cross-functional upgrade work.

The company is a pioneer and market leader in robotic-assisted surgery and has worked with hospitals and care teams worldwide for more than 25 years.

Responsibilities

• Explain networking requirements and prerequisites to the customer's IT staff.
• Align the work of customer IT, operating room staff and the company's service teams during simulator upgrades.
• Make sure quality systems and project documentation are finished.
• Keep customers and internal stakeholders informed about upgrade progress, problems, emerging risks and the next steps.
• Report regularly on activities and project status to EU senior leadership.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is needed.
• A background in engineering, life science or medicine is preferred.
• You need 3-5 years of project management experience.
• You work well on your own, stay well organized and manage your time when the workload is heavy.
• You can get multi-functional teams to work together within a matrix structure.
• You drive tasks to completion, hold team members accountable and spot problems before they arise.
• You communicate clearly and well in English, both spoken and written. Skill in another European language is a strong advantage.
• IT and network knowledge is preferred.

Conditions

This is a fixed-term role of 12-18 months.

Travel is under 15%.

US export regulations (15 CFR §743.13(b)) may apply to some positions for candidates who are nationals of countries under embargo or sanctions status. The role may be filled at a different job level depending on business needs and the successful candidate's experience. Pay follows the job level and the candidate's qualifications, always within legal requirements.
