MedTech Field Service Software Tech Entry level - Southeast US

Description

You will work with healthcare professionals in hospitals across the United States to troubleshoot, repair and update medical devices, backed by an on-site team.

The role builds technical and leadership skills and opens paths into new areas of the business.

The schedule is flexible, and the work can bring supplemental income while you learn the medical device industry.

The company provides clinical research services, commercial insights and healthcare intelligence to life sciences and healthcare organizations.

Responsibilities

• Organize, test and update medical devices.
• Install and configure hardware, software and network products.
• Set up equipment and workstations and keep them organized.
• Run routine checks after installation and configuration, and record the data from product tests.
• Track project timelines and respond to customer needs.

Requirements

• Required: at least 1 year of related technical experience.
• Required: strong communication and soft skills for business settings.
• Required: comfort with basic software programs and Microsoft operating systems.
• Required: ability to assemble and disassemble equipment and devices.
• Required: ability to sit and stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Required: ability to work independently in customer settings with little supervision.
• Preferred: 3+ years in a field technical role with hardware and software installations.
• Preferred: experience in field service, engineering, biomedical, maintenance, electronics, electrical, technical work or IT.
• Preferred: Biomedical Technician experience, which is a plus but not necessary.
• Military veterans with experience in an electronics, maintenance or IT MOS are encouraged to apply.

Conditions

This is a part-time role that involves travel and flexible hours, with typical weeks of 40+ hours.

Assignments are scheduled around customer work and usually run 1 to 3 weeks on site.

You must keep 3 weeks of availability each month.

Travel nationwide to meet customer needs.

An active, unrestricted driver's license is required.

You must own a personal vehicle and be willing to use it for job assignments up to 3 hours from home.

You must live within 1 hour of a major airport.

You must already be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship, as visa sponsorship is not offered.

The potential base pay range is $28-$30 per hour. The actual base pay may vary based on job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education and experience, location, and schedule (full or part-time).
