Intern - IT Software Engineer

Description

The company makes memory and storage products. This internship sits on the Automated Material Handling System team, where software automates Fab equipment operations and connects them to internal systems.

You will learn from experienced software engineers and work alongside other interns and staff.

Responsibilities

• Build, write, test and debug software applications with a range of technologies, tools and AI.
• Help add new features and improvements to Fab equipment and tools.
• Investigate software faults and bugs, then fix them and provide ongoing support.
• Write and revise software specifications and user manuals.
• Look into new technologies and good engineering practices.
• Take part in code reviews and team meetings.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, and continue studying in Fall 2027.
• Understand ITIL practices for incident, release, change and problem management.
• Know software engineering principles and methods such as Agile Scrum or Kanban.
• Communicate and interact well, work independently, and collaborate in a team.
• Pick up new skills quickly and adjust when requirements change.
• Preferred: Work with scripting languages such as Perl or Python.
• Preferred: Work confidently on Unix-like operating systems.
• Preferred: Use application programming interfaces and version control systems such as Git.
• Preferred: Use software testing tools and DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps.
• Preferred: Use continuous monitoring tools such as Splunk.
