Description

The company is hiring a full-time Marketing Technology Specialist to work fully remotely from the U.S. The role blends marketing and technology work, with ownership of cloud-based marketing applications alongside platform expertise and enablement for the teams that use them.

You will work with Marketing, IT, and other internal and external stakeholders to build, roll out, and grow marketing and event tools and the processes around them, in support of the company's key business initiatives.

The job centers on getting marketing and event platforms adopted and used consistently. You will handle onboarding, configuration, testing, and continuing support for end users.

You will run the daily operation of the tools assigned to you. Architecture, integrations, and advanced configuration sit under platform oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main steward and operational owner of your assigned marketing and event tools.
  • Create and maintain best practices, job aids, and documentation for those tools.
  • Handle user accounts, administration, and routine platform upkeep.
  • Coordinate Information Security, Legal, Privacy, and compliance reviews with IT, Legal, and Risk teams, so tools meet company standards before launch and through later changes.
  • Build and sustain working relationships with Marketing partners and IT teams to deliver sound technical solutions.
  • Work with Marketing and IT to line up technology choices with business goals and priorities.
  • Lead change management tasks such as onboarding, training, and ongoing education for end users during platform rollouts and upgrades.
  • Look into and resolve technical issues, escalating when needed, and make sure they get fixed on time.
  • Manage the bug and issue resolution process and suggest improvements to it.
  • Review performance metrics to keep customers satisfied and improve how the platform works.
  • Help redesign business processes and drive continuous improvement to boost performance and functionality.
  • Take part in short- and long-term planning to tie technology work to business objectives.
  • Set up structured requirements processes to understand client needs and rank priorities.
  • Help with complex integrations and architecture decisions.
  • Configure assigned tools according to approved requirements and standards.
  • Help bring new marketing and event technology capabilities and tools into use.
  • Write and run user test cases, and check results during testing phases.
  • Give feedback on system enhancements and help with work after go-live.
  • Support vendor relationships and account administration for your assigned tools, including ticket coordination, documentation, and renewals.
  • Make sure tools stay aligned with company goals and with the terms of vendor contracts.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in digital marketing, marketing technology, or technical roles.
  • Working knowledge of business operations, systems requirements processes, and marketing technology platforms.
  • Experience with cloud-based marketing applications and tools.
  • Strong project management skills, including managing several priorities, timelines, and stakeholders at once.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and manage relationships across functions.
  • Knowledge of change management principles and end-user training methods.
  • Preferred: experience with project management or process improvement methods such as Agile, Lean, or Six Sigma.
