Description

You will run marketing programs in your assigned territory to grow use of robotic procedures in General Surgery, Urology, Gynecology and Thoracic Surgery, with possible later expansion into other clinical areas.

You will coordinate with cross-functional sales and training colleagues and work alongside the European marketing group to shape regional strategy.

The company is a global leader in robot-assisted and minimally invasive care, and has been developing its technology for nearly 30 years. The team combines engineers, clinicians and innovators.

Responsibilities

  • Track your market: open versus minimally invasive procedure rates, national outcomes, surgeon, patient and hospital segments, reimbursement levels, current surgical techniques and key opinion leaders.
  • Build and run marketing tactics for the four specialties, with timelines and budgets agreed with the French and Benelux marketing director, the events team, European marketing and local sales leadership.
  • Work with clinical and capital sales teams on analysis, targeting and action plans in a growing, competitive market.
  • Contribute to the regional marketing strategy with the sales specialty manager and sales leadership.
  • Build a working knowledge of the company's product portfolio and the clinical uses that apply to it.
  • Create value propositions, stories, tools and events, and drive engagement with the 3Ps.
  • Produce clinical and capital marketing and sales tools that support short and long-term procedure, product and system sales goals.
  • Develop speakers, teachers, case observers and executive KOLs by partnering with surgeon champions on robotic clinical education programs and symposia that build competency and use.
  • Develop proctors with surgical, clinical and teaching skills who can teach safe, reproducible techniques that improve outcomes.
  • Quantify impact with clinical, economic and strategic evidence: support local market access on cost-effectiveness and value strategies, collect, analyze and share competitive data, and validate clinical and economic data with reference case observation centers, KOLs and proctors.
  • Lead the company's presence at national conferences, including robotics symposia, postgraduate courses, live surgical broadcasts and trade show booths.
  • Build alignment with relevant surgical and executive societies to secure their support and partnership.

Requirements

  • A university degree in life sciences or business.
  • At least 6 years of related experience, or equivalent, including clinical or product marketing in a therapeutic medical device company.
  • Preferred: General Surgery, Urology, Gynecology or Thoracic experience.
  • Desired: strong clinical, surgical and/or operating room experience.
  • Proven ability to position procedure and product messages and build sales support that drives adoption.
  • A track record of building and delivering clinical education and marketing programs that grow product and procedure use.
  • Proven success turning business insight into broad marketing strategies and plans.
  • Experience managing departmental and cross-functional projects in medical devices or a related industry.
  • Sound judgment in analyzing data and choosing methods across problems of varying scope.
  • Skill in managing budgets, organizing work and prioritizing across many tasks at once.
  • Ability to influence peers and earn credibility with a highly educated customer base.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills across many stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of the MS Office suite.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch. French is a plus.
