Description

This is a strategic role in marketing program management, in the full time marketing job family group, based in Schaumburg, Illinois, United States.

You will keep up with changes in your field and help shape direction by judging how they apply to your work and the business.

Several people in the business have the same level of subject matter expertise, so your impact comes through the quality of your complex deliverables and your influence.

You will need strong communication and diplomacy to guide and persuade colleagues in other areas and, occasionally, external customers.

Your work affects a whole area and, over time, the performance and effectiveness of the wider sub-function or job family.

Other job-related duties may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Work with internal teams to design and run marketing strategies accurately and in line with business goals.
  • Help put test strategies in place, build campaign schedules, audit business as usual activity, and use critical thinking to spot and reduce potential problems.
  • Judge the effect of changes and decide whether more testing is needed to keep channels sound.
  • Recommend engagement strategies with several partners, including balance transfer and spend programs.
  • Work with the insights team to study the competitive landscape and push marketing to a top standard.
  • Partner with business teams to launch new campaigns and initiatives that deepen customer engagement and reduce attrition.
  • Use portfolio trends and other key data to make decisions and recommendations.
  • Find issues, own them, and manage them through to resolution.
  • Help reconcile the monthly budget and process marketing invoices so vendors deliver as agreed.
  • Manage internal legal and creative reviews and approvals for campaigns, including agent scripts and the online experience.
  • Weigh risk in every business decision, protecting the company's reputation, its clients and its assets; follow laws, rules, regulations and policy; use sound ethical judgment; and escalate, manage and report control issues openly.

Requirements

  • Have 6-10 years of progressive marketing experience in retail banking, cards or payments, or financial services.
  • Have a proven record of running complex, multi-channel customer engagement and retention campaigns on your own, from planning through post-launch optimization.
  • Bring advanced organization and project management skills, with a record of handling several deliverables at once in a demanding pace of work.
  • Have experience reading customer data, KPIs and campaign performance dashboards, and turning them into clear recommendations.
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications or a related field, or have equivalent practical experience.
  • Preferred: experience with credit card marketing programs such as spend stimulation, balance transfers and lifecycle engagement.
  • Preferred: strong communication, negotiation and executive presentation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional partners and leadership.
  • Preferred: a problem-solving approach with high accountability, agility and attention to detail.
  • Preferred: familiarity with marketing automation tools, CRM systems and regulatory approval workflows.

Conditions

Full time role based in Schaumburg, Illinois, United States.

Salary range is $114,720.00 to $172,080.00.

Anticipated posting close date is Oct 23, 2026.

Equal opportunity applies; hiring decisions are made by people, not automated decision-making alone.

Benefits

  • Eligible employees may receive discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
  • Medical, dental and vision coverage, a 401(k), life, accident and disability insurance, and wellness programs.
  • Paid time off covering vacation, sick leave and paid holidays.
  • Offerings may vary by jurisdiction, job level and date of hire.
