Description

The company's Banking Technology group is hiring a senior engineer who codes hands-on to build and ship AI systems for its investment, corporate and commercial banking business.

You will work in small agile squads on agentic AI frameworks and generative AI tools, prototyping quickly, shipping MVPs and iterating toward production-grade capabilities.

The role sits in Applications Development within Technology.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and deploy scalable agentic and generative AI solutions for high-impact business needs, keeping them robust, fast, secure and dependable.
  • Build agentic systems that connect models and APIs from several providers, such as OpenAI, Anthropic and Google.
  • Create full-stack applications around LLM-driven workflows, using AI coding assistants such as Devin and GitHub Copilot.
  • Run an MVP-first cycle of frequent experiments and improvements.
  • Set metrics, evaluation methods and feedback loops that keep AI system performance and behavior improving.
  • Prototype and adopt new work in agent-based, autonomous and generative AI.
  • Contribute hands-on within cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers with technical guidance.
  • Make sure AI solutions fit banking and financial services needs, constraints and business goals.
  • Other job-related duties may be assigned as required.

Requirements

  • Strong Python and/or Java (Spring Boot), plus working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript with Angular or Node.js.
  • Full-stack experience counts as a plus.
  • Solid grasp of AI fundamentals, including knowledge representation, planning and multi-agent systems.
  • Hands-on work with LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt engineering, MCPs and agent frameworks such as Google ADK.
  • Practical use of ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, NumPy and Pandas.
  • Familiarity with AI coding tools such as Devin, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot and Antigravity.
  • Sound engineering habits: Git, CI/CD, testing, code reviews, agile delivery, application resiliency and security.
  • Experience with API-first, microservices and event-driven designs, including data engineering for AI systems.
  • Hands-on work with Docker, Kubernetes and OpenShift.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Working knowledge of banking, financial services and regulated environments.
  • Nice to have: experience in data science, such as statistical modeling and experimentation, and interest in mentoring junior AI engineers.
  • 6-10 years of progressive software engineering experience with a strong hands-on coding background.
  • At least 2 years focused on AI software development, LLM-based solutions, agentic systems or machine learning.
  • Proven record of delivering enterprise-scale AI capabilities into production.
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, AI, robotics or a related quantitative discipline.
