Senior Full Stack .NET Software Engineer

The role sits in the Technology group, within Applications Development.

The company is a global bank with about 200 million customer accounts and business in more than 160 countries and jurisdictions. It serves consumers, corporations, governments and institutions across consumer banking and credit, corporate and investment banking, securities brokerage, transaction services and wealth management.

The Operations & Technology team builds the systems that keep the bank secure, manage global resources, give staff their tools, shape the digital architecture and improve the customer experience.

This is a seasoned.NET full-stack role focused on end-to-end automation that streamlines business processes in a complex enterprise. You will take projects from concept to deployment using.NET, microservices and database work.

The company uses automated tools, including AI, to match candidates' skills to openings. People make and check all hiring decisions, and no decision is made automatically.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end application systems covering user interfaces, data storage and automated workflows.
• Design scalable databases, including schemas, stored procedures and functions.
• Build automated processes that connect to multiple APIs, databases and application user interfaces.
• Review complex business and system processes, find ways to improve them and assess them against industry standards.
• Work with business analysts, architects and users to turn business needs into technical stories and estimate development effort.
• Take part in every stage of the software development lifecycle, from feasibility studies and design through construction, testing and implementation.
• Manage code promotion, CI/CD pipelines and the SDLC artifacts needed to meet compliance and operating standards.
• Recommend and put in place security measures, and make sure required procedures are followed, including risk and compliance ones.
• Keep the code repository clean so developer metrics are met and best practices hold.
• Act as subject matter expert for senior stakeholders and other team members.
• Support users and operations, join UAT and fix defects quickly to meet release schedules.
• Work independently with sound judgment, managing deadlines and sudden changes in requirements.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience in full-stack software development.
• Strong frontend and backend skills in ASP.NET MVC,.NET Core, JavaScript, Bootstrap and CSS, with strong proficiency in C.
• Experience with a modern UI framework such as Angular, React or Microsoft Blazor.
• Proven experience building.NET Core microservices, with a deep understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns.
• Database development on relational and NoSQL systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle and MongoDB, plus query languages such as PL/SQL and T-SQL.
• Deep knowledge of RESTful API design and hands-on systems integration.
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and platforms such as Lightspeed, Harness, Tekton and GitHub, with a solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• A track record of managing and delivering projects, with working knowledge of project management methodologies.
• Hands-on use of AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot or Devin AI to speed up design, implementation, testing and delivery.
• Ability to work well in fast-moving settings, handle shifting priorities and meet evolving deadlines and requirements.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Preferred: Python programming and Agentic AI and/or Generative AI (GenAI) development is an added advantage.
• Preferred: Java development with extensive experience building microservices using Spring Boot is a strong plus.
• Preferred: Hands-on containerization with Docker and container orchestration with OpenShift or Kubernetes.
• Optional: Practical knowledge of AI fundamentals, including prompt engineering and integration with AI models and APIs, is a plus.

Conditions

Full-time role based in Irving, Texas, United States.

Primary salary range is $107,120.00 to $160,680.00.
