Description

The company is a small, fast-moving team that uses AI to help creators turn ideas into images, videos, stories, and ads, serving people who have a vision but no studio.

The company ranks 12th on a16z's Top 50 Consumer AI Apps by monthly revenue, is one of five companies in the 2026 Disney Accelerator, and is included in Notable Capital's Prosumer AI 40.

You will lead lifecycle marketing to help creators make a first successful creation, come back, explore more of the product, and keep getting value from a subscription. You will build adaptive journeys across email and, with Product, in-app channels, and nurture enterprise prospects from first interest through sales handoff.

The work is hands-on: you find opportunities in user behavior, write the messages, build and QA campaigns, and measure whether they change outcomes. Products and audiences change quickly, so you will need to work without a fixed playbook and refine the system as you learn. You will work closely with the Growth team, Data, and Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Chart the path from signup to activation, repeat creation, paid conversion, retention, and reactivation, then target the largest gaps first.
  • Create behavior-triggered journeys for onboarding, education, upgrades, and win-backs, deciding who gets messaged, when, through which channel, and when to stop.
  • Design B2B nurture for new accounts, covering event and webinar follow-up, lead signals, and sales handoffs, together with Enterprise GTM and RevOps.
  • Write clear email and in-app copy, then build and test campaigns, personalization, frequency limits, and suppression rules.
  • Work with the Growth PM, engineers, and Data on product events, in-app opportunities, and experiments, using A/B tests or holdouts where practical to measure incremental impact.
  • Coordinate launch messaging with Product Marketing and shared activation and conversion goals with Growth Marketing.
  • Run lifecycle tooling, deliverability, and reporting, and adjust journeys as the product and user behavior shift.
  • Success means measurable gains in activation, repeat use, paid conversion, retention, or qualified enterprise lead progression tied to lifecycle programs.
  • Success also means creators get timely, relevant guidance that helps them make more with the product.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in lifecycle, CRM, retention, or growth marketing, including 4+ years running B2C subscription or self-serve lifecycle programs.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • B2B experience is strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years hands-on with a platform such as Customer.io, Braze, or Iterable, including event-triggered journeys, segments, and personalized campaigns you have built yourself.
  • Working knowledge of templating and email production, such as Liquid and email HTML/CSS, plus experience with email and at least one other owned channel.
  • A track record of improving activation, conversion, engagement, or retention, with fluency in cohorts, A/B tests, and campaign and product analytics.
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills, with sound judgment on deliverability, consent, QA, and message frequency.
  • Comfort with ambiguity: you turn incomplete data and a changing product into a practical plan, ship it, and improve it with evidence.
  • Strong Plus: hands-on B2B or enterprise lifecycle experience, including lead nurture, event follow-up, and sales handoffs.
  • Strong Plus: experience building a lifecycle program from an early stage, including its operating model and team as it scaled.
  • Strong Plus: SQL, or experience with CDPs, event pipelines, and product analytics tools.
  • Strong Plus: experience with creator tools, AI products, international audiences, or localization.

Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, with onsite work preferred.

Close collaboration with product, growth, data, and creative teams.

Benefits

  • Own a core growth function and see its effect on activation, paid conversion, and retention.
  • Shape how creators experience the product alongside Product, Growth, Data, and Creative.
