Description

The company makes software used by more than 25,000 businesses worldwide, including 85 of the Fortune 100, to improve customer experiences, fight financial crime and support public safety.

Its platforms handle over 120 million customer interactions and monitor more than 3 billion financial transactions every day.

The company is listed on NASDAQ, employs over 8,500 people in more than 30 countries and is recognised as a market leader in its domains.

This role is central to the company's move to AI-led delivery. The digital evidence platform is being rebuilt as AI-native, with AI tools working alongside the team every day, from design through verification.

No AI credentials are required. The team wants someone who already uses AI in daily work, has formed clear views on where it fits and where it does not, and learns new tools quickly.

The final interview stage is a working session using the company's AI tooling. It looks at how you set intent, check outputs and make decisions, not at memorised knowledge.

You will work as both an architect and a software developer on the team.

Responsibilities

  • Own the architecture and carry out design, implementation and validation for cloud-based systems running multiple threads across many servers. Use an AI-led method in which AI drafts code, tests and decisions while you set intent, direct the work and check the results.
  • Lead technical decisions on architectural direction, working with the team.
  • Make sure the architecture covers security, scalability, compatibility and maintainability, along with responsible, evidenced use of AI at build time and run time.
  • Test your own work, fix defects and help resolve customer support cases.
  • Make sure the team follows architectural direction and standards.
  • Mentor team members on architecture, AI-led delivery and how to check AI outputs.
  • Work with Product Management during planning sessions.

Requirements

  • Communicate clearly by email, instant message, phone and video call.
  • Care deeply about product quality.
  • Solve problems well and stay current with new design and development tools and technologies.
  • Know and value good process.
  • Use AI tools such as Copilot, Claude Code, Codex or similar every day, not only in trials. Be ready to discuss specific examples at interview.
  • Spot opportunities to improve process, product architecture and delivery as AI develops.
  • Judge clearly where AI belongs in a public-safety platform and where it does not.
  • Have solid experience developing applications in C using Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code.
  • Have a proven record of turning complex market requirements into secure, scalable and resilient system designs.
  • Have experience with multi-tenant cloud solutions.
  • Have worked in collaborative, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Write maintainable code and use source control such as DevOps, Git or similar.
  • Have experience with unit testing, code reviews and other quality practices.
  • Have a solid understanding of network security, authentication and authorisation.
  • Have experience working with databases through Entity Framework or similar.
  • Have good knowledge of SOLID principles.
  • Have experience building RESTful APIs and making them extensible.
  • Have recent hands-on experience using AI tools in the architect role, for example for design review, ADR drafting, threat modelling or contract design.
  • Know AI-native software patterns such as agentic workflows, evaluation harnesses, prompt-and-response evaluation and evidence packets.
  • Be comfortable with probabilistic systems and show clear judgement on using AI in a high-trust domain.
  • Pick up a new AI tool or technique within days.
  • Follow OWASP Top 10 security practice.
  • Have experience with Azure SQL Server.
  • Have experience with DevOps pipelines, TeamCity and GitHub.
  • Have experience with Windows services.
  • Take full responsibility for the architecture you own, whatever tools helped produce it.
