The company is a global technology and professional services firm serving U.S. government, defense and intelligence customers, with 26,000 staff working in more than 50 countries.
This role sits in the Cyber and IT Risk Management job family on a large software development and modernization IDIQ program for a national intelligence customer.
You will build out and grow the unclassified engineering environment and set the DevSecOps direction across a varied set of applications, speeding up modernization, standardization and delivery.
The Solutions Architect manages this role directly. You will work with the Lead Systems Engineer to create one shared vision, architecture and operating model for secure, scalable delivery across the program.
Responsibilities
Build, improve and extend the unclassified DevSecOps environment that supports several teams working on software development and modernization.
Create environment patterns and templates that can be copied quickly across task orders and projects.
Write a single DevSecOps strategy and technical vision for the IDIQ, aligned with the Solutions Architect and Lead Systems Engineer.
Plan and keep current the roadmaps for tools, platforms and practices that bring the application portfolio onto common DevSecOps standards.
Line up modernization roadmaps across teams so build, test, deploy and operations follow consistent patterns.
Set up a code assessment framework that judges legacy and modern applications on quality, technical debt, security posture and cloud readiness.
Recommend refactor, replatform, retire or replace paths based on assessment results, mission priorities and risk.
Create metrics and dashboards that show application health, delivery performance and modernization progress.
Design, build and tune CI/CD pipelines for applications serving the Intelligence Community and related environments.
Design data pipelines for data-heavy applications, analytics and mission workflows, focused on scale, resilience and security.
Put security controls, static and dynamic analysis, and compliance checks inside the pipelines, starting security early in the process.
Evaluate and recommend tools and platforms such as container platforms, orchestration, IaC and security tools.
Standardize toolchains and delivery patterns to cut fragmentation, encourage reuse and raise reliability across teams.
Maintain reference architectures, templates and playbooks for onboarding applications and for build, test, deploy and operations.
Work with the Lead Systems Engineer to match DevSecOps practice to system architecture, integration and performance needs.
Follow the Solutions Architect's direction so the DevSecOps strategy fits the overall solution architecture and customer goals.
Lead, mentor and advise development, infrastructure and security engineers across the program.
Promote a DevSecOps culture built on automation first and continuous improvement.
Make sure DevSecOps practice meets IC security expectations and applicable standards such as zero trust, secure coding and STIGs where they apply.
Build observability, monitoring, logging and incident response into the delivery pipeline.
Improve reliability, availability and performance through automation and feedback loops.

A record of leading DevOps or DevSecOps work on complex software portfolios or large programs.
Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps or similar.
Experience building data pipelines, for example with Kafka, NiFi, Airflow, Spark or cloud-native data services.
Experience with containers and orchestration such as Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift.
Working knowledge of infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Ansible or CloudFormation.
Strong secure development practice, with security built into CI/CD through SAST, DAST, SCA and secrets management.
Experience supporting or integrating with Intelligence Community or similar high-security systems.
Strong communication skills and a record of working with architects, systems engineers and mixed disciplinary teams.
