IT/OT Engineer

Description

The team is moving the organisation from project-based work to product-based work in IT/OT.

You will join a growing team that builds system solutions the project teams use on end customer projects.

The aim is smart, scalable solutions that shorten production lead times and make project work more effective.

The role sits between IT and OT, with room for new ideas, collaboration and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain new services and solutions that shorten project lead times.
• Support colleagues who use these solutions.
• Once you have enough experience, mentor junior colleagues and lead knowledge-sharing efforts.
• Once you have enough experience, help find and capture opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

• Hold at least a university degree in engineering, or equivalent experience from a comparable role.
• Be skilled in VMware (vSphere, ESXi and vCenter), Hyper-V, storage and Windows Server.
• Have good knowledge of another virtualization platform, such as KVM, Xen or OpenStack.
• Have knowledge of Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud and on-premises solutions.
• Manage your own work well and steer it toward team goals.
• Be comfortable scripting in PowerShell and/or Python.
• You may also have some experience with automation in Ansible.
