Insights Analyst

Description

This analyst role sits on the insights team and supports day-to-day work for an OTC and personal care manufacturer.

The company is a consumer intelligence firm formed when NIQ merged with GfK in 2023. It operates in more than 100 markets, covers over 90% of the world's population, and is an Advent International portfolio company.

The team helps clients find growth opportunities, track shifts in the market, and make better business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Examine consumer, shopper, and market data to find trends, opportunities, and risks, then shape the results into a clear narrative.
• Check large datasets for quality, identify likely errors, and design fixes.
• Build clear Excel and PowerPoint outputs, plus deliverables made in the company's proprietary software, that help clients decide what to do.
• Own every stage of analysis: design and run models, interpret results, simulate client plans, and build the materials.
• Support presentations, training, and tool rollouts.
• Work with clients and senior team members to meet their priorities, deliver projects well, and keep clients satisfied.
• Build deep knowledge of the company's proprietary tools and metrics and use them to answer clients' most pressing business questions.
• Pursue growth in technical skills, category knowledge, or solution expertise.

Requirements

• You are curious and enjoy turning data into useful business findings.
• You want to understand how consumers behave, what moves a category, and what drives growth for major brands.
• You combine analytical skill, care for detail, and a collaborative approach to solving client problems.
• Desired: willingness to be onsite two days a week.
• Desired: an undergraduate degree. A business, marketing, or analytics degree is a plus.
• Desired: prior customer or client service experience.
• Desired: experience in a professional services firm applying analysis to business issues. CPG experience is highly preferred.
• Desired: strong logic, deductive reasoning, problem solving, and critical thinking, with the ability to combine data into insights.
• Desired: attention to detail and the ability to diagnose errors and issues on your own.
• Desired: strong written and verbal communication.
• Desired: proactive and self-directed, with a habit of looking ahead to what comes next.
• Desired: good time management across many responsibilities.
• Desired: proficiency in the Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI.

Conditions

Base salary is expected between $58,000 and $70,000, depending on experience, qualifications, skills, and location.

Hybrid: a minimum of two days per week onsite at the client's Berkely Heights, New Providence, NJ location.

Recruitment may use AI tools for screening, assessments, scheduling, and admin tasks, with final hiring decisions made by people.
