Description

The Adaptive Program Management Technologies team works where construction program management, digital transformation and emerging technologies such as data analytics and AI-enabled solutions meet. The team is looking for candidates from construction management, civil engineering, computer science, information systems and related fields who want to use technology to improve how programs and projects are delivered.

This entry-level Digital Solutions Business Analyst role supports Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) work for the team. It is an early-career position for building business analysis skills, working with a range of PMIS platforms and taking part in the full software development lifecycle for custom digital solutions. Work can be remote, hybrid or on-site at any office.

The company's growing portfolio includes technology projects for clients who manage capital improvement programs. You will work alongside senior team members on integrated solutions for complex program and project management problems. Solutions may be off-the-shelf applications, custom software built by the company, AI-enabled tools or a mix of these. You will get hands-on exposure to configuring and implementing leading PMIS platforms such as e-Builder, Kahua, Procore and InEight, along with other emerging technologies.

As the Business Analyst I, you will connect business needs with technology by turning client requirements into system configurations, process workflows and functional requirements. Under senior guidance, you will apply business analysis methods and critical thinking to review current processes, find improvements and support solution design and rollout. You will take part across the delivery lifecycle, from discovery and requirements gathering through design, testing, implementation, training and rollout. Projects differ in size, complexity and platform, which offers strong room for professional growth.

  • Under senior guidance, work with internal and external teams to define and document current business processes, key performance metrics and program or project control requirements.
  • Review business processes and find ways to improve efficiency, effectiveness, data quality and decision-making.
  • Help evaluate and roll out emerging technologies such as automation, advanced analytics and AI-enabled capabilities that strengthen program delivery and business processes.
  • Turn documented requirements into system configurations, software workflows and reporting metrics, including workflows, data dictionaries, use cases, reports and dashboards.
  • On software development and systems implementation work, design the data and systems integration requirements.
  • Configure and implement business solutions across PMIS and project delivery platforms.
  • Design and document test procedures for implemented solutions, then carry them out.
  • Write test cases and run User Acceptance Testing.
  • Produce supporting material such as user guides, job aids and training materials.
  • Deliver stakeholder training.

Requirements

  • A BS in Construction Management, Computer Science, Engineering or another technical field, or equivalent demonstrated experience and/or education.

  • Clear written and verbal communication is preferred, including with senior managers and executives.
  • Strong organizational, time management and presentation skills are preferred.
  • Able to work independently as well as within collaborative teams is preferred.
