Data Center Quality Assurance Managers

Description

The company is a global infrastructure firm working in water, environment, energy, transportation and buildings. It takes projects from advisory and planning through design, engineering and construction management.

This is a national search for Data Center Quality Assurance Managers.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of inspectors who check the contractors' workmanship, materials and equipment against the construction contracts.
• Keep a running record of every defect and omission.
• Keep the Non-Conformance Notice and Open Issues Log reconciled.
• Check throughout construction that the contractors follow their quality plan.
• Tell the client about test failures and set out corrective actions.
• Oversee punchlist work and take part in Zero Defect walkthroughs.
• Escalate critical issues to the Construction Management Lead and see them resolved.
• Supply input for weekly project reports and monthly progress reports, including summaries of significant test results.
• Act as the owner's direct contact and keep project delivery and communication on track.
• Confirm tests run on schedule, witness selected tests, check results, oversee retests when needed and keep the test records.
• Represent the client in line with contract terms and project deliverables.
• Make periodic site visits covering quality, safety compliance and project tracking.
• Coordinate the client's outage and shutdown procedure.
• Dress and communicate professionally on site and in meetings at all times.

Requirements

• A BA or BS plus eight years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalent experience and or education.
• Preferred: 15 years of experience in construction and or quality management.
• Preferred: CQM or another professional certification.
• Preferred: a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or architecture.

Conditions

The role is on site in Columbus, OH.
