Description

This is a remote role, designated as Remote/Teleworker, so you will mostly work from home.

The company is a global edge-to-cloud business that helps customers link, secure, analyze, and act on their data and applications from edge to cloud.

You will join the Product Adoption Content and Education team, which builds courseware and certification material that customers need to deploy, run, and configure networking products and solutions.

As Certification Lead, you will create and manage certification content, including concepts, examples, tasks, and hands-on activities for cloud services, automation, and networking products.

The ideal person is a subject matter expert and a self-starter who collaborates well, wants to lead certification development projects, keeps learning, and works well in a fast-paced, highly technical setting.

Your work spans certification strategy, exam development, technical validation, lab design and automation, SME management, quality assurance, operations coordination, project management, candidate enablement, and certification program governance.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, staff, and take part in written and expert-level (E-level) certification workshops.
  • Build and manage a network of subject matter experts chosen for their technical skills.
  • Share certification objectives, processes, and requirements across the organization.
  • Assess new exams, specializations, and learning paths as new technologies arrive, and recommend which to pursue.
  • Create and maintain exam blueprints so objectives and topics are accurately covered before workshops begin.
  • Use AI-assisted tools to draft part of the exam content for upcoming workshops.
  • Review, check, and merge existing exam items into a reusable practice item bank.
  • Edit and improve exam items to build and maintain practice exams.
  • Turn workshop output into working exam environments and check every task so its configuration is known to work.
  • Work with lab engineering teams to design, build, maintain, and validate master topologies for E-level exams.
  • Build and maintain exam forms and topology files for online delivery.
  • Find and fix problems in E-level exam environments while candidates test.
  • Review feedback from candidates and lab teams on E-level study guides, labs, and support material.
  • Assess technical exam feedback and propose detailed fixes and improvements.
  • Study exam performance data to decide on content updates, revisions, and security changes.
  • Work with operations teams to make sure exams are ready and validated before delivery, and to publish updates for new or revised exams.
  • Help keep exams accurate, sound, and aligned with current technologies and job roles.
  • Work with contractors and internal stakeholders on self-study bundles, lab content, and courseware, and manage the related projects.
  • Advise candidates on learning paths, certification tracks, and exam choice.
  • Explain exam content, objectives, and value to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Attend company events and testing sessions to support registration and certification operations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience producing technical content.
  • A BA or BS in technical writing, English, computer science, or a related field, or a networking certification, or comparable experience.
  • You can research complex technical topics on your own and with others.
  • You solve problems and make progress when information is incomplete.
  • You communicate and collaborate well.
  • You use AI tools to scale content creation while keeping quality high.
  • Hands-on experience with routing, switching, security, network automation, virtual machines, containers, and cloud services.
  • Preferred: expertise with the company's own networking products and technologies.
  • Preferred: expert-level networking certifications.
