  • Review designs from a QA perspective to check testability and reduce risk.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of hands-on QA experience.

  • Solid understanding of Linux and VM environments, storage, compute and networking.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON and SQL/NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as KVM and VMware.
  • Familiarity with performance and load testing tools.
  • Exposure to cloud-native testing challenges in private cloud environments.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven experience mentoring junior team members and driving collaboration across functions.
  • Knowledge of the full SDLC and of test methodology, tools, test strategy, test planning and test execution.
  • Strong automation background, enough to own the automation strategy and the tools needed to build a test framework.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Experience with CI/CD, Git/GitLab and Jenkins.
  • Experience with Docker, containerization and Kubernetes.
  • A BS or MS degree in science or engineering from a recognized, accredited university or college.
  • Additional skills that are useful: cloud architectures, cross-domain knowledge, design thinking, development fundamentals, DevOps, distributed computing, microservices, full stack development, release management, a security-first mindset, and user experience.
