Sign Up to ReadManicule (YC P26) is hiring freelance technical writers to write for developer-tool companies.
Remote, worldwide. Up to $400 per article, depending on your skill, experience, and the scope of the piece. We agree on the fee, deliverables, and included revisions before you start.
You’ll interview founders and engineers, try products, and write technical articles for developers. Topics include AI agents, infrastructure, deployments, browser use, etc.
What I care about:
You put effort into making each article unique. You build something, run an experiment, find an overlooked detail, or ask a question nobody else has answered. The article should contain something you discovered.
You don’t write AI slop. I’m allergic to it. Your writing should sound like someone who understands the subject and has something useful to say. Cut the generic intros, filler, and unchecked claims.
You’ve written for DevTools companies before. This is a huge plus. I’d love to read work that shows you understand developers and can explain technical ideas clearly.
An engineering background helps.
To apply: Please email writers [at] manicule.dev with your one best sample + why it's good.
Next steps: We'll be shortlisting the top 5% of applicants for a short paid outline trial, and then furthermore for a full paid article.
Experience: 1+ years
Visa: US citizenship/visa not required
Fully remote
No visa sponsorship
Worth a look before you spend an evening tailoring a CV for it.
