You will join a technology consulting team that serves external customers and internal project teams, helping them turn business needs into technology solutions.

The role is remote, so you will mainly work from home.

You will act as a trusted advisor, build lasting customer relationships and help protect customer satisfaction.

You will help shape technical direction for the organisation and its customers, and contribute to the company's solutions portfolio with what you learn on projects.

You will help meet revenue and customer satisfaction goals, and support new business by building opportunities and assisting with deal proposals.

Responsibilities

• Implement part or all of a technical solution for a client, following an agreed technical design.
• Sometimes produce a detailed technical design for enterprise solutions.
• Apply a wide understanding of company technology to build part or all of a detailed design that meets customer requirements.
• Often lead small to medium technical projects.
• Work under the direction of the project or technical manager and alongside customer-nominated representatives.
• Liaise with the solutions architect where needed.
• Advise on how technology applies to a defined business segment, including solution and integration opportunities.
• Lead technical integration work within an engagement.
• Support planning and design of solution architectures across multiple systems.
• Build value with the client community and show how the company strategy is put into practice.
• Document project learnings and share them through knowledge tools and communities.
• Model knowledge sharing and reuse within your practice, and encourage others to contribute to the professional community.
• Maintain professional certifications and standards.
• Write internal material such as knowledge briefs and service delivery components.
• Join the sales process in C&I and support sales and principals with pre-sales work.

Requirements

• Have 5+ years of professional experience and a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• Without a degree, have 8+ years of relevant professional experience in total.
• Have enough technical depth and breadth to take individual responsibility for the design and scope of deliverables in your field.
• Have led a small team delivering a specific deliverable.
• Have mastered at least one technical discipline and hold strong knowledge in at least three major technology areas.
• Bring advanced business, technical or functional knowledge.
• Be able to resolve problems arising from combinations and interactions of products.
• Apply technology and consulting skills to solve a client's business problem.
• Explain complex issues clearly and confidently.
• Use consulting skills including questioning, listening, developing ideas, building rapport, gaining permission and influencing.
• Run or lead status and technical meetings with clients on small to medium engagements.
• Write customer documentation and turn technical detail into concise, easy-to-follow text.
• Write relevant parts of proposals, such as answers to specific RFP questions.
• Turn verbal requirements from in-person client meetings into requirements documents, statements of work and proposals.
• Discuss requirements in your area of expertise, challenge and clarify them, then produce a high-level design or plan.
• Estimate the effort needed to deliver and advise the engagement owner on risks for each work package.
• Work with a team to write responses to technical proposals and produce reports or documentation.

Conditions

The role is remote, so you will mainly work from home.

The expected base salary range in California is USD 96,000 to 194,200 per year.

Variable incentives may also be offered on top of base salary.

The actual offer may differ from this range based on location, experience, education, training or skill level.
