Description

You will set the experience direction for a whole digital product range, leading a team while still working as a hands-on designer.

The team you lead designs the next generation of building software. You will shape new products and improve existing ones, affecting how they look and how they behave for the people who use them.

Success means experiences that users enjoy, keep using, and that support business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Set the UX vision and roadmap for the full portfolio, linking customer needs with product and business goals.
  • Lead, coach and grow a UX/UI team, setting priorities and high design standards.
  • Design hands-on with the team, from early concepts through detailed interaction and interface work.
  • Turn complex requirements into clear user journeys, interfaces and prototypes.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, journey maps and prototypes so teams can compare options and decide.
  • Talk with customers regularly so the products meet their needs.
  • Work with customers, Product Management, AI and Engineering to test assumptions and improve solutions.
  • Use current AI tools, such as Claude and Figma AI, to build UIs and workflows quickly.
  • Test ideas fast and refine designs using customer feedback and product usage data.
  • Build shared design patterns and a scalable design system for a consistent portfolio.
  • Connect new and existing products through shared patterns that improve accessibility, usability and consistency.
  • Bring research, customer feedback and usability testing into development, and measure results through usability, adoption and customer outcomes.
  • Align Product, Engineering, AI and global stakeholders on one UX direction, balancing user needs, technical limits and business priorities.
  • Work iteratively with Engineering to understand technical constraints and feasibility.

Requirements

  • A solid background in UX or product design, with a portfolio showing your work on complex software and its results.
  • The ability to turn unclear problems into intuitive journeys and strong interfaces, testing options quickly and explaining your choices.
  • Experience leading a team of UX and design professionals.
  • Experience working directly with customers on new user experiences, and communicating clearly with everyone from Engineering to Product, AI and executives.
  • An understanding of how UX affects revenue and retention, and the ability to justify design investment with metrics.
  • A background in browser-based and mobile SaaS products or data-heavy applications, whether B2B, B2C or B2B2C.
  • Proven hands-on experience using AI tools to generate designs and user experiences.
  • Thorough knowledge of current standards such as WCAG, including AI-generated UIs and content, accessibility conformance reporting and inclusive design.
  • Comfort working with teams around the world across Asia, Europe and the Americas time zones.
  • Preferred: familiarity with global product environments, smart buildings, energy management or workplace experience.
  • Preferred: smart building experience is not essential, and transferable skills from other digital environments are welcome.

Conditions

The interview asks you to show relevant hands-on design work, how you explored ideas, how you contributed within a team, and how you used customer and stakeholder input.

The company wants to see both your design craft and how you help a team deliver, not only how you coordinate projects or influence stakeholders.

Benefits

  • Access to design and AI tools.
  • Lead the team while staying close to design work.
  • The scale and reach of a large parent company, combined with the creative challenge of transforming a product line.
  • Help define new cloud-native products and a connected experience across the portfolio.
  • Help customers run buildings more efficiently and sustainably.
