Description

The company runs a digital sports platform for fans, covering commerce, collectibles, and betting and gaming, and works with a large partner network of sports properties.

The collectibles business is a newer part of the company, combining collectibles, culture and technology, and is building a global collectibles brand. It draws on a sports platform with about 900 sports properties and more than 81 million fans.

This is a hands-on, in-market role for the German launch, reporting to the Germany Country Lead. You will build and run a growth strategy that fits the German market, using product launches, sporting and cultural moments, customer insights and market trends.

You will work with the central Growth team, which covers paid marketing, lifecycle and influencer marketing, to bring their playbooks into Germany, localize campaigns and share German insights back to the wider company.

The role suits someone with startup energy who is commercially minded, analytical, and comfortable moving between strategy and hands-on execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead growth marketing in Germany, with a local strategy for acquisition, engagement, retention and revenue.
  • Plan and run the German marketing calendar, turning launches, sporting and cultural moments and seasonal cycles into well-executed campaigns.
  • Plan and deliver campaigns that span paid, CRM, lifecycle, creators, partnerships and community channels.
  • Turn German customer insights and market trends into clear growth opportunities and campaign ideas.
  • Align marketing activity with seller priorities and wider commercial goals, working with the Country Lead and the Account Management team.
  • Adapt global brand and product campaigns so they work for German audiences.
  • Build locally relevant acquisition campaigns across paid and organic channels with the central Growth team.
  • Plan and coordinate CRM and lifecycle activity for German customers, covering onboarding, activation, retention and re-engagement.
  • Find ways to improve the customer journey and lift conversion, repeat purchases and long-term value.
  • Create audience segments, messages and offers based on customer behaviour and market insight.
  • Run tests across channels, content, messaging and promotions, and use the results to improve performance.
  • Find and manage relationships with relevant German creators, communities and commercial partners.
  • Develop campaigns and content that build awareness, engagement and acquisition.
  • Build partnerships around key sporting, cultural and collectible moments that strengthen the presence in Germany.
  • Spot high-performing local content and campaign ideas that could work in other markets.
  • Define and track growth metrics across acquisition, activation, engagement, retention and revenue.
  • Monitor campaign and channel performance and turn the data into clear actions and recommendations.
  • Use experiments, customer insight and performance analysis to decide where to invest and what to improve.
  • Share German market learnings with central teams to shape wider strategy, tools and playbooks.
  • Give clear updates on performance, priorities and upcoming growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • Three to six years of experience in growth, performance, or lifecycle marketing, or a broader commercial marketing role. Experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, live commerce, media or entertainment is ideal.
  • Fluent German and strong working English.
  • Experience developing and running campaigns across several growth channels.
  • A solid grasp of the customer funnel, from acquisition and activation through engagement and retention.
  • Comfortable with data, able to track performance, run experiments and optimize based on results.
  • Strong commercial instinct and an understanding of how marketing activity drives revenue.
  • A self-starter who can set priorities and act without a fully defined brief.
  • Comfortable owning a broad, changing remit in a fast-paced, high-growth setting.
  • Strong skills in building relationships and working across functions.
  • Experience working with creators, influencers, communities or commercial partners is a plus.
  • A passion for sports, collectibles or the wider hobby is a strong advantage.
