Description

The company builds collaboration and AI-powered workflow software for military planning and operational coordination.

Military planning involves coordinating information, people, and decisions across systems and locations. The company combines planning, collaboration, simulation, and AI in one connected environment so teams can test strategies, adjust to changing conditions, and decide with more clarity when stakes are high.

The team is distributed and includes people with military, operational, and technology backgrounds. Some members work remotely, and others work directly with customers in operational settings around the world.

The company was founded in 2019 and is backed by General Catalyst, Battery Ventures, Insight Partners, Sapphire Ventures, and Human Capital. It is valued at more than $2 billion and keeps investing in product, AI capabilities, and team growth.

This role leads and develops product managers across the company's the company and AtomEngine products. You will guide product direction, turn customer insight into priorities, and build a group of PMs who can make sound decisions on their own.

You will create impact through the PMs you develop and the products they ship. You will coach experienced PMs, sharpen decisions across product areas, and work with Engineering and Design to turn bold ideas into dependable software. You will stay close to customers and hard product problems while giving each PM clear ownership of their area.

You will also help shape product management as AI agents take on more software development work. You will help the team sharpen how it understands customers, frames problems, and evaluates results. You will work with company leadership on direction and major tradeoffs, and you will own priorities and outcomes within the team's agreed scope.

Responsibilities

  • Grow product leaders by setting clear expectations, coaching during real work, addressing performance gaps, and supporting hiring and development. Help PMs build the judgment and confidence to take on harder work.
  • Set a coherent product direction across your areas by linking company priorities and customer needs to a clear point of view. Decide deliberately what to pursue, when to do it, how to test it, and what to defer.
  • Build a deep understanding of customers by working with users, domain experts, and field teams on operational workflows. Help PMs separate recurring needs from one-off requests and spot opportunities customers may not be able to describe.
  • Advance product management alongside AI agents by working with Engineering and Design to test new approaches to discovery and development. Show PMs how to give agents useful context, define success, assess output, and apply judgment where it counts.
  • Improve product quality by making advanced capabilities easy to understand and reliable. Question assumptions, compare options, and balance experimentation against the trust customers place in the software.
  • Align teams by resolving dependencies and competing priorities with Engineering, Design, and Product Operations. Clarify who owns what, and take larger tradeoffs to leadership with a recommendation.
  • Own outcomes by setting success criteria before delivery and learning from adoption, customer feedback, and business results. Change course when evidence shows another approach would deliver more value.

Requirements

  • You have experience managing product managers, including developing senior PMs, giving hard feedback, and raising performance.
  • You have built and shipped complex software products and can point to clear customer or business results.
  • You show strong product judgment across discovery, strategy, prioritization, and post-launch evaluation.
  • You have enough technical fluency to earn Engineering's trust and make useful tradeoffs with Design.
  • You have led work across several teams and explained significant decisions clearly.
  • You are curious about how AI agents can improve product development and can judge their limits carefully.
  • You are ambitious and honest about your thinking, hold a high standard, and give people room to grow.
  • You care about customers enough to learn how they actually work and take responsibility for what happens after a product ships.
  • Experience with defense customers, planning tools, simulation, or other demanding enterprise workflows is valuable but not required. Candidates from adjacent industries with strong product leadership and a commitment to learning from users are welcome.

Conditions

The company accepts applications only through its own channels and does not accept unsolicited help from third-party recruitment agencies.
