Description

The company builds digital technology for the electric grid. This team develops software that helps utilities and energy providers run more efficiently, reliably, and sustainably, and supports the wider energy transition.

This role is the main delivery lead for customer software projects. You take a project from kickoff through customer acceptance and handover, and you turn customer and business commitments into a clear plan with measurable results. You coordinate customers, delivery teams, partners, and support functions, and you are accountable for scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, governance, customer value, and the project's financial health.

You will work with talented teams around the world on complex problems with real-world impact.

Responsibilities

  • Lead customer software projects from kickoff to final acceptance and handover to support.
  • Act as the main delivery contact for customers, build trust, and align stakeholders on project goals and outcomes.
  • Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, risks, issues, and change requests so contractual and business commitments are met.
  • Build and maintain integrated project plans that track milestones, dependencies, resourcing, and customer obligations ahead of problems.
  • Own project financial performance, including forecasts, margins, billing readiness, and cash flow.
  • Lead matrixed, cross-functional teams spanning software development, engineering, product management, cybersecurity, quality, services, and partners.
  • Set up effective governance, report to executives, and keep decisions and issue resolution moving.
  • Oversee testing, customer acceptance, deployment, and transition, with a strong focus on quality and customer value.
  • Use Lean, Agile, and continuous improvement methods to make delivery more efficient and improve customer results.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of project or program management leading customer-facing software, technology, systems integration, or digital solution implementations.
  • 5+ years managing several project management disciplines, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, governance, and executive stakeholder communication.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders in complex, matrixed settings.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills, and working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and traditional delivery methods.
  • Desired: PMP, PMI-ACP, Certified ScrumMaster, or an equivalent project management certification.
  • Desired: a master's degree in a related discipline.
  • Desired: experience delivering software in the electric utility, energy, or critical infrastructure industries.
  • Desired: knowledge of utility operations and grid applications such as SCADA, EMS, ADMS, OMS, or similar technologies.
  • Desired: experience managing customer contracts, change orders, commercial terms, and financial performance.
  • Desired: experience with large enterprise software implementations or systems integration projects.
  • Desired: experience leading global or geographically spread project teams.
  • Desired: proficiency with project planning, collaboration, reporting, and financial management tools.
  • Desired: a record of driving customer adoption, operational results, and lasting customer relationships.
