Description

The team is looking for an MEP project manager to join its group and work alongside a global manufacturing client.

The ideal person has an engineering background with solid mechanical, electrical, or MEP knowledge and experience. You will think like a consultant and have experience with owner's representation.

Experience supporting construction and capital projects in one or more of the company's key markets is a plus: data centers, critical infrastructure, aviation, life sciences, and energy and natural resources. Exposure to complex projects, stakeholder management, and multidisciplinary teams across these sectors is preferred.

The company is a global professional services firm with over 22,000 people in more than 60 countries. It works with clients across real estate, infrastructure, energy and natural resources, and its capabilities include programme, project, cost, asset and commercial management, controls and performance, procurement and supply chain, net zero and digital solutions. It is majority-owned by CBRE Group, Inc., with its partners holding a significant minority interest, and the two work together to offer programme, project and cost management in markets worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Keep engineering drawings, specifications, and other documents under control.
  • Support the scheduler by providing progress updates.
  • Coordinate in the field between the general contractor, commissioning agent, and client.
  • Walk the site with the general contractor and subcontractor trades.
  • Attend field and punch walks with the architect and the MEP engineering team.
  • Communicate with internal and external team members and stakeholders at every project stage.
  • Help prepare and manage project close-out documents.
  • Check that QA/QC procedures are followed, and report any issues or gaps.
  • Review technical documents for accuracy and contract compliance.
  • Run engineering QA and QC reviews on all design drawings before they go to construction for builds.
  • Produce scheduled and ad hoc reports on progress, key performance indicators (KPIs), and progress tracking.
  • Manage the flow of project information between the team and the client through regular meetings and written updates.
  • Record key information and lessons from each commission in internal databases and share them.
  • Make sure the client and management know about quality, safety, health, and environmental issues.
  • You may take on SOX control duties, which must be followed where they apply.

Requirements

  • Field construction experience is required.
  • Experience in manufacturing construction is beneficial.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate across delivery teams, stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Skill in managing client relationships and keeping stakeholders and corporate leadership aligned.
  • Ability to manage and delegate tasks to technical and non-technical support staff.
  • Proven postgraduate experience in mechanical or MEP engineering, covering both design and site work.
  • An engineering background with strong mechanical knowledge and experience.
  • A bachelor's or postgraduate degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related field.
  • Project management qualification (such as PMP), or an engineering or related qualification.

Conditions

On-site presence and requirements may change depending on the client's needs.

The company promotes a healthy, productive, and flexible working environment that respects work-life balance.

The company is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from all sectors of the community.

Benefits

  • You will work in a place where each person has the chance and voice to drive change, and the company wants its people to succeed at work and in life.
