Services Manager 1 - Services Project Manager

Description

You act as the main point of contact for the customer, turning agreed business and customer commitments into organised delivery with results you can measure.

You lead customer-facing software solution projects from kickoff through customer acceptance and handover, working with customers, delivery teams, partners and support functions.

You are accountable for scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, governance, customer value and the financial health of the project.

Responsibilities

• Set expectations, weigh competing needs and make decisions that build customer trust and encourage adoption of the solution.
• Define objectives, requirements and work breakdown structures, then manage baselines, critical paths and changes through impact review and approval.
• Manage project finances, including cost, margin, forecast accuracy, cash flow and billing readiness, protecting profit while spotting expansion work with account teams.
• Keep an up-to-date, actionable RAID log, anticipate risks, lead structured problem solving and recommend escalations backed by data.
• Lead matrixed teams across software development, engineering, product, cybersecurity, infrastructure and services to meet commitments.
• Set up routines that give executives accurate, open and decision-ready updates.
• Choose Lean, Agile, Hybrid or Waterfall methods as each project requires, to cut waste, handoff friction and complexity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, business administration or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3, 5 years of project management or delivery experience, ideally in customer-facing enterprise software, technology or systems integration projects.
• 3, 5 years managing scope, schedules, financial tracking, risks, issues and change management.
• 3, 5 years coordinating cross-functional teams and a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Conditions

Travel of approximately 5, 20% is required.

For U.S.-based roles, the pay range is $119,600.00 to $179,400.00. In certain areas the company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary. Actual pay depends on experience, education and skill set.
