Description

The company is a mobile games publisher headquartered in San Francisco. It works with mobile developers to help their games reach players worldwide, and since 2018 it has driven 90% of its games into the Top 10 of the App Store and Google Play, with 16 reaching number 1 on the US App Store Top Free chart.

This role supports the Turkish teams and focuses on the company's casual puzzle titles. You will work closely with external development teams and studio managers, and help ideate, build and analyse both current and future puzzle games.

The role suits a versatile game design generalist who enjoys level design, builds working relationships across several teams, and weighs creative judgement against data.

Responsibilities

  • Design core gameplay loops, player experiences and monetisation strategies that are engaging and challenging.
  • Work with external studios in Turkey from early concepts through to playable builds.
  • Create new mechanics that add depth and progression while fitting the game's design approach.
  • Review player data, spot trends and optimise level funnels for retention and monetisation.
  • Work with developers across functions to keep designs aligned with product goals.
  • Track top-performing games to understand market trends and draw out insights.

Requirements

  • At least 3+ years of game design experience or in a closely related field.
  • Professional experience across mechanics, systems, progression and player experience.
  • Confidence using data and player insights to find design problems and propose fixes.
  • Strong creative and problem-solving skills, with clear communication across cross-functional stakeholders to keep design aligned with the product vision.
  • Advanced analytical skills to spot patterns and trends.
  • Experience balancing levels and optimising funnels.
  • Fluency in Turkish to communicate effectively with Turkish-speaking studio teams.
  • Desired: experience designing puzzle games as a publisher is a strong plus.
  • Desired: experience with liveops, A/B testing or data-led iteration cycles.
  • Desired: familiarity with Figma or similar visual collaboration software for mock-ups.
  • Desired: proficiency using AI tools to generate early prototypes.
  • Desired: track record of publishing or working on successful hypercasual, casual or AAA titles.
