Description

The company is in the middle of a major business and technology transformation, modernizing its core insurance platforms on Guidewire InsuranceSuite. The work will shape how it serves customers and grows the business over the coming years.

The company is looking for an experienced business analyst to join the Business Development and Transformation team, a Nordic group focused on the company's core business capabilities. Experience from insurance, financial services or another complex business domain is welcome.

You will sit between business and technology, making sure business needs become sustainable solutions that fit Guidewire Cloud principles and the company's long-term direction. You will work with Product Managers, Product Owners, Architects, developers and business stakeholders on epics and features that deliver business value.

You will not be joining a finished setup. You will help define how the company uses Guidewire Cloud across its Nordic business, shape future solutions and ways of working, and build long-term capability. You will also have room to deepen your Guidewire skills alongside experienced colleagues.

The work runs in agile, cross-functional teams, with knowledge sharing and continuous learning across business domains and countries.

Responsibilities

  • Turn business needs into clear epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria, and support teams through development.
  • Challenge requirements that add unnecessary complexity and steer stakeholders toward standard platform capabilities and SaaS best practices rather than heavy customization.
  • Help adapt processes and ways of working to a modern cloud platform.
  • Run workshops and align stakeholders across business and technology.
  • Lead business analysis from first idea through implementation, and help shape initiatives through epic, feature and story refinement.
  • Support backlog prioritization and value-based decisions.
  • Define acceptance criteria and take part in testing and validation.
  • Analyse impact and map dependencies across teams, processes and systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement of business processes and platform capabilities.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Business Analyst, Business Developer, Product Owner or in a similar role.
  • Ability to create clear epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience working in agile delivery and supporting backlog refinement.
  • Understanding of cloud and SaaS delivery principles.
  • Ability to translate between business needs and system solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a structured, analytical approach and the ability to move between the big picture and the detail.
  • Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and to challenge assumptions constructively.
  • Fluent English. A Nordic language is an advantage.
  • Experience with Guidewire InsuranceSuite is highly valued. Experience with other business-critical or enterprise platforms, or complex transformations, is also highly relevant.
  • Guidewire certifications and transformation program experience are strong advantages. Candidates without them are expected to commit to building Guidewire expertise, including certifications, as part of the role.
