(Senior/Lead) Mobile Software Engineers, React Native

Description

The company is taking its B2B mobile app for small and medium enterprises from Denmark into other Nordic markets, and needs 4 mobile software engineers to do it.

The app is already live in Denmark, but the platform is new and the Nordic rollout has only just started.

You can shape how the React Native and Expo platform develops, how AI is used in engineering, and how a shared mobile platform scales across apps and markets, backed by the largest insurer in the Nordics.

Both senior engineers and mid-level developers who want to grow are being hired.

You will join the Commercial App squad in the mobile tribe, part of the IT Sales & Services unit. The squad has 6 people in Finland and Denmark, working across disciplines.

The stack is React Native, Expo, TypeScript, a C/.NET backend-for-frontend, REST APIs, Microsoft Azure, GitHub, CI/CD, Expo Application Services, automated testing, Sentry, expo-observe and GitHub Copilot.

With 4 new engineers joining at once, you will have real room to shape how the team works and the engineering culture.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the app with React Native, Expo and TypeScript.
• Help extend the app across Nordic markets.
• Shape the mobile architecture, tooling and engineering practices.
• Own work from defining the problem through build, release and production.
• Protect quality through automated testing, code reviews, observability and monitoring.
• Collaborate in a cross-functional squad with product, design, backend engineers and other specialists.
• Try AI-native engineering methods and find where AI adds value in mobile customer journeys.
• Contribute to the shared mobile platform and, where sensible, upstream to the technologies you use.

Requirements

• A strong grounding in mobile engineering.
• Solid hands-on work with React Native and TypeScript or JavaScript.
• A track record of building and maintaining production mobile apps.
• Experience with Expo, or strong React Native skills and the ability to become productive in Expo quickly.
• A strong habit of focusing on quality, maintainability and secure mobile development.
• Curiosity about your craft and about how AI is changing software engineering.
• A collaborative approach, with a willingness to share ideas and challenge things constructively.
• The initiative to take ownership and move work forward.
• Considered a plus: EAS, App Store or Google Play releases, native iOS/Swift, Android/Kotlin, C/.NET, Azure, or AI-powered customer experiences.

Conditions

Location is Espoo or Turku, Finland.

Hybrid model with 3 days a week together at the office.

Occasional travel within the Nordic countries is required.

Start as soon as possible.
