Engineer III - Cloud (Remote)

You would join the Falcon Complete Core Engineering team, which builds and runs the core systems that help Falcon Complete analysts triage, remediate and protect customers. Those systems run 24/7/365.

The team is spread across the United States and the United Kingdom. Most work is asynchronous over Slack, with one team sync each day and real-time catch-ups when needed.

Responsibilities

• Help build new features and product enhancements that support the company's mission.
• Work with Falcon Complete stakeholders to create products that solve real cybersecurity problems.
• Design and build reliable, high-performance solutions that scale as the company grows.
• Improve service monitoring and act on issues before they escalate.
• Write automation that reduces the team's operational workload.
• Join on-call rotations to keep operations running 24/7.

Requirements

• Professional experience in at least one of Golang, Python, JavaScript, C++ or Java, and willingness to work in Golang.
• Ability to work within the limits of existing software applications and architectures.
• Hands-on experience building web services and data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience building services in a microservices architecture.
• Operational knowledge of relational, NoSQL and graph databases.
• Operational knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka or Kinesis.
• Linux programming fundamentals.
• Experience with distributed and scalable systems.
• Experience with cloud-native technologies and cloud observability tools.
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration platforms such as K8S.
• Self-motivated, and able to succeed in a highly asynchronous remote setting.
• Proven experience using AI technologies to improve decisions, streamline workflows and processes, raise efficiency and drive business outcomes.

Conditions

Remote role.

Base salary is $120,000 - $185,000 per year for U.S. candidates, depending on factors such as experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status and location.

Bonuses and equity grants are eligible.
