Description

The company is a Nasdaq-listed provider of wealth management, asset servicing, asset management and banking services for individuals, families, corporations and institutions worldwide.

Founded in 1889, it runs on three principles: Service, Expertise and Integrity. It has more than 135 years of financial experience and over 24,000 employees, whom it calls partners.

This role heads the developers and automation staff who build full-stack security applications and automation to protect client data, applications, infrastructure and AI workloads. You will set the strategic direction, turn cyber risk priorities into a delivery roadmap and make sure solutions are scalable, secure, resilient and ready for audit. You will work with security, technology, risk, audit and business groups to choose high-value automation work, guide architecture and delivery, manage stakeholder expectations and grow senior technical talent.

Responsibilities

  • Set the vision, roadmap and delivery priorities for AI-enabled applications, agents, API integrations and reusable automation patterns.
  • Direct the developers and automation staff who build security capabilities that lower cyber risk, make operations more consistent and strengthen control execution.
  • Convert enterprise security needs into a balanced set of initiatives covering threat response, vulnerability management, evidence collection, control validation and operational resilience.
  • Provide technical direction and management oversight so solutions are secure, reliable, supportable, observable, scalable and aligned with enterprise architecture and risk expectations.
  • Work with security architecture, platform engineering, cloud security, IAM, threat, governance and operations teams to set standards, guardrails, handoffs and adoption plans.
  • Own the delivery portfolio, which includes: security workflow automation that speeds discovery, response, remediation and control validation; reusable integrations linking security platforms, enterprise data and systems of record; AI-enabled applications and agentic workflows that support security decisions within enterprise controls, approvals and data protection rules; and LLM-based vulnerability scanning, remediation support and secure coding tools, governed and measured.
  • Establish responsible AI engineering practices for security, covering approved platforms, model governance, prompt and retrieval standards, testing, evaluation, observability and exception handling.
  • Manage priorities, capacity, delivery commitments and stakeholder updates across several automation initiatives at once.
  • Make sure production automation includes strong authentication, authorization, secrets handling, logging, exception management, change control, auditability and support models.
  • Oversee documentation, architecture reviews, runbooks, decision logic, reusable patterns and operational handoffs so capabilities can be governed, supported and improved over time.
  • Shape platform roadmaps, vendor integrations and automation investments based on risk reduction, control effectiveness, resiliency, stability, reuse and total cost of ownership.
  • Recruit, coach, mentor and develop senior technical staff, setting clear expectations for engineering quality, collaboration, accountability and measurable delivery.

Requirements

  • You have 15+ years across cybersecurity, software engineering, security automation, cloud, platform, infrastructure automation or related fields, including 5+ years leading large development teams.
  • You have helped shape engineering culture and delivered complex work through influence, accountability and clear priorities.
  • You understand how development and automation protect enterprise environments, improve control execution, reduce operational risk and produce measurable security results.
  • You can set technical direction, judge architecture, challenge designs, weigh delivery tradeoffs and communicate clearly with engineers and senior stakeholders.
  • You know modern development practices, Python automation, API integrations, CI/CD, cloud-native services, workflow orchestration and operational supportability.
  • You have worked with LLM solution patterns, AI agent workflows, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt engineering, model evaluation, AI guardrails and secure use of enterprise AI platforms.
  • You have delivered in a regulated setting with attention to audit evidence, access controls, change management, testability, resiliency and production support.
  • You have led innovation teams in financial services or another highly regulated industry.
  • You have managed globally distributed technical teams, built engineering operating models, set delivery metrics and tied work to risk reduction, control maturity and business outcomes.
  • You are familiar with ServiceNow workflows, Vulnerability Response, SecOps, CMDB, ITSM integrations or similar enterprise workflow platforms.
  • You have worked with Azure AI Foundry, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, GitHub Actions, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines or cloud-native automation patterns.
  • You have built or led automation programs for vulnerability management, exposure management, threat response, identity security, network security or cloud security operations.
