Description

This role supervises staff in the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), including intelligence analysts and communications analysts, and reports to the Associate Director of the Global Security Operations Center Program.

The team identifies global risks to the company, monitors security systems, responds to incidents, and communicates with Global Security leadership, risk partners and employees during crisis events.

You will coordinate with other shift supervisors and regional security operations centers so that GSOC work passes smoothly between shifts.

You will also support Lake County Security Operations with the efficient and safe running of the company's physical security program when needed.

The GSOC runs 24/7, so you must work independently and make sound decisions when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Run daily operations on your assigned GSOC shift and supervise the intelligence analysts directly.
  • Oversee the contract communications analyst on shift to confirm policies, procedures and other requirements are followed.
  • Supervise shift operations, quality assurance and leadership, including global event analysis and escalation, and the security alarm, surveillance, radio and fire system processes. You will also work as a working supervisor.
  • Direct the initial response to an on-site security incident or a severe global event during your shift.
  • Make sure all GSOC analysts on your shift are compliant, trained and certified under Global Security policies, procedures and GSOC system standards.
  • Train new team members on the job until they fully understand all processes and procedures.
  • Assess and develop your staff, giving regular performance feedback and yearly reviews. Supervise skilled non-exempt employees and recommend performance management actions.
  • Keep information confidential and follow applicable laws, regulations and company policies.
  • Build deep knowledge of all GSOC and security operations systems, processes and procedures.
  • Join cross-functional or departmental teams and committees when asked, helping improve GSOC strategies, metrics and procedures.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma is required. A college degree is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in security operations, an intelligence center, emergency dispatch, a contact center or similar, ideally in a global setting. Experience in global security intelligence analysis is preferred.
  • Public or private sector security experience is preferred.
  • You must communicate clearly in speech and writing and work professionally with others.
  • Strong attention to detail, prioritization and organization.
  • Strong computer skills are required. Administrator-level experience with security systems and technologies is preferred, along with the ability to work in a technical environment that keeps changing.
  • You can lead a team through dynamic, stressful situations, use judgement, and reach solution-focused decisions quickly.
  • You are committed to helping others succeed as a team. Prior people leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
  • You can handle several tasks at once in a fast-paced setting.
  • You can work different hours as part of a 24/7 operation when needed.

Conditions

The 2nd shift runs Monday to Friday, 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM.

The company is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds, including veterans and people with disabilities.

Pay disclosure applies only where state or local law requires it. The base pay range is the company's good-faith estimate for this grade at posting, and actual pay depends on factors such as location and may fall outside it. The range may change.

Any bonus, incentive or other compensation is at the company's sole discretion until it is paid, and may be changed consistent with law.

This is for US and Puerto Rico applicants only. Details on equal employment are available on the company's careers site.

Benefits

  • Paid time off covering vacation, holidays and sick leave.
  • Medical, dental and vision insurance, plus a 401(k), for eligible employees.
  • The role is eligible for short-term incentive programs.
