Description

The company builds long-lived, product-led squads that own the services they create from start to finish.

You will join a cross-functional squad to build, support and improve secure cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation and live-service reliability.

This is a mid-level role. You will own defined DevOps tasks and get support from senior engineers and platform specialists when needed.

The engineering culture values practical delivery, automation, security, quality, learning and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Keep clear technical notes, runbooks and support information for squad-owned services.
  • Take part in planning, refinement, stand-ups, retrospectives, demos and operational reviews.
  • Suggest practical improvements to automation, resilience, security and developer experience.
  • Follow a Build and Run model: design, build, test, deploy, monitor, support and improve your squad's services.
  • Work from a transparent, prioritised backlog and deliver value in small increments on a regular agile cadence.
  • Apply Definition of Ready and Definition of Done, covering testing, security, documentation and operational readiness.
  • Automate build, test, security assurance, deployment and environment setup wherever practical.
  • Release in small, safe steps and use feedback and delivery data to improve.
  • Work within shared architecture, cloud, security and platform guardrails.
  • Use approved engineering and AI-assisted tools with suitable security controls and human review.

Requirements

  • Commercial experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, platform engineering or a software engineering role with strong automation exposure.
  • Practical experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud-based application environments.
  • Experience with scripting or automation, such as PowerShell, Bash or similar.
  • Understanding of Infrastructure as Code concepts and repeatable environment management.
  • Awareness of secure delivery practices, secrets management, access control and operational risk.
  • Ability to troubleshoot build, deployment, environment and service issues in a structured way.
  • A collaborative communication style and confidence working with developers, QA, Product and support colleagues.
