DataOps Engineer (m/f/d)

Description

The team builds data pipelines and architecture for Data and AI initiatives at an e-pharmacy, Europe's largest in its category.

The role focuses on making data systems that support models delivering business insight, with work on digital healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, high-performance data pipelines and improve the data architecture.
• Build and deploy cloud-native solutions on Azure Data Services, Databricks and other Big Data tools.
• Work with other teams to understand their data needs and make sure the architecture supports current and future projects.
• Apply CI/CD practices to Data Analytics projects to speed up development and deployment.
• Keep improving the performance, scalability and security of the data systems.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in data engineering, software development or a related field, including handling large datasets.
• Hands-on experience with Azure or another public cloud, including working knowledge of Databricks or Apache Spark.
• Skilled in Big Data technologies such as Kafka or Flink, and in SQL for analytics.
• Proficient in at least one programming language, such as Python, Scala or Java.
• Motivated to learn and apply best practices for cloud-native systems and distributed architectures in an innovative setting.

Conditions

Remote work from Germany, the Netherlands or Italy, or on-site in Cologne or Berlin.
