Responsibilities

• You design, build, and maintain data pipelines and data architectures.
• You work directly with clients to learn what data they need and deliver tailored solutions that produce business insights.
• You bring technical depth and disciplined methods to take projects and client outcomes to a successful end.
• You handle Big Data in the cloud or in an on-premises data center, making client data ready for business or operational use.
• You access a range of data sources in an efficient and reproducible way.
• You design, test, and monitor distributed data processing pipelines.
• You collaborate with data scientists on building machine learning models.
• You estimate performance and cost for different use cases.
• You create useful dashboards that show processed data.

Requirements

• You are comfortable with Big Data, massively scalable databases, cloud infrastructure, and distributed algorithms.
• You care about sustainable software development and have several years of experience in technical roles.
• You are skilled in Python and SQL.
• Ideally, you have hands-on experience with, or a strong interest in, Hadoop, Apache Spark, Hive, Airflow, RDBMS, NoSQL, DevOps, Kubernetes, and Java or.NET.
• Ideally, you understand what large public cloud environments can do and may have used Amazon AWS, MS Azure, or Google's GCP.
• You hold a university degree (ETH, Uni, or FH) in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Fluency in German and English is required.
