Description

You will act as the country representative for the Data, Analytics and Platforms team, which sits within the Execution Excellence unit, and lead the local data foundation. The goal is one dependable picture of the data the business relies on across Commercial, Value & Access and Medical, aligned with international data strategy and governance.

You will work closely with local teams to make sure data, platforms and reports are fit for their purpose, meet international standards and are adopted in a lasting way across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Run and improve the country data foundation, combining internal and external sources into one reliable view of critical business data.
  • Set and govern the business rules for ingesting, transforming and aggregating data, and for managing master data, following enterprise standards.
  • Coordinate data integration and data flows across key platforms so that data arrives on time, is accurate and can be analysed directly.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to keep data work aligned with global governance, architecture, privacy, compliance and AI ethics requirements.
  • Build, monitor and steadily improve data quality controls, fix data issues and rebuild trust in the data.
  • Support compliance with data privacy and with promotional and non-promotional rules by setting up appropriate data access models.
  • Help write data policies and documents, such as data dictionaries, lineage descriptions and usage guidelines.
  • Maintain and extend the data layer behind reports, dashboards, analytics and AI/GenAI use cases, keeping it consistent and ready to use.
  • Validate data and investigate the root cause of anomalies in reports and dashboards.
  • Prepare data for country-priority analytics and AI/GenAI pilots, and for their scaled versions.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to understand and meet data needs at every stage of the product lifecycle.
  • Support vendor and budget management by setting requirements, quality standards and performance feedback for external data and technology providers, and by tracking data quality, governance and operational KPIs.

Requirements

  • University degree in Business, Life Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data architecture, master data management or enterprise data strategy.
  • Experience as a Data Product Owner, handling business requirements, features, user stories, acceptance criteria and delivery across functions.
  • Strong knowledge of pharma data domains, including commercial, patient services, market access, digital, medical and omnichannel data.
  • Understanding of the pharmaceutical regulatory environment, industry standards, and the separation of promotional and non-promotional activities and data.
  • Proven ability to drive data strategy, enable new datasets, and deliver automation, optimization and change management initiatives.
  • Expertise in SQL and data management, plus knowledge of Python or R, data engineering concepts, and data governance or quality tools and data platforms.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, consulting and stakeholder-influencing skills.
  • English required. Italian preferred. A strong ethical and leadership mindset.
  • Skills listed: Analytical Thinking, Brand Awareness, Business Analytics, Cross-Functional Collaboration, Digital Marketing, Media Campaigns, Project Management, Project Planning, Sales, Stakeholder Engagement, Stakeholder Management, Waterfall Model.
