DevOps Architect with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Description

The company designs and runs cloud infrastructure for clients, and this role is the cloud infrastructure authority on GCP projects, working directly with customers and internal delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers to design and build cloud infrastructure and landing zones.
• Help create infrastructure architectures and technical documentation.
• Present infrastructure modernization strategy to C-level executives.
• Act as a technical advisor and the go-to authority on cloud infrastructure.
• Secure the foundations of cloud implementations.
• Automate provisioning of infrastructure and applications.
• Design applications that are ready for the cloud.
• Deliver complete cloud infrastructure management solutions from start to finish.
• Improve client infrastructure operations through better monitoring, logging and observability.
• Define and put in place cloud infrastructure governance and build and deployment standards.
• Support technical pre-sales work.
• Collaborate closely with the Delivery Management team.
• Mentor and tutor others.

Requirements

• Experience architecting and implementing landing zones.
• Hands-on experience developing infrastructure as code, preferably with Terraform.
• Experience with virtualization of servers, storage and networks.
• Expert knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and its infrastructure offerings.
• Experience with networking, identity management and virtualization.
• Experience with data center exit strategies.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to a CxO audience.
• Experience giving technical demos and running workshops.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Comfortable presenting to small and large audiences.
• Approachable, and get real satisfaction from helping others grow.
• GCP certifications.
