Data Centre – Design Manager (m/f/d) MEP

Description

The team works with data centre clients on hyperscale, colocation and enterprise projects across Western Europe.

This role focuses on the German market and calls for a strong design management background in the local data centre sector.

The work demands close involvement to deliver on time, meeting the clients' recurring deadlines, budgets and requirements.

The design manager decides the right level and skill mix of resources for each project and makes sure new opportunities are bid and priced so they deliver the sold fees and margins, which requires project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage design in a fast-moving project setting in the German market.
• Lead multidisciplinary, cross-regional teams covering CSA and MEP.
• Support bids on multidisciplinary opportunities with key clients, covering both commercial and technical aspects.
• Make sure internal and local regulatory governance is followed at bid stage and throughout project delivery.

Requirements

• Senior multidisciplinary design manager with MEP background.
• Experience in data centres in an accountable design management role.
• Working proficiency in German and English, including contractual German.
• Ability to manage a heavy workload and tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, which are essential.
