Description

The company's platform helps marketers reach, engage, and convert audiences across programmatic advertising and other channels, with AI handling a large volume of automated optimizations.

This role sits on the AI experience team, which works on Ivy, the platform's AI assistant. You will take on large, complex design projects meant to help teams connect data, automation, and human judgment into tools that help marketers grow their business.

You will work across disciplines to define problems, choose a direction, and refine details before release, bringing clarity to complicated systems and raising design standards across the product.

The company is remote-first and will consider candidates located anywhere in Canada or the US.

Responsibilities

  • Own the design strategy for Ivy from generative UI through to the role AI plays in the platform's future.
  • Define how Ivy builds trust: showing its reasoning, communicating confidence, and recovering gracefully when it gets something wrong.
  • Lead design on multi-team initiatives, keeping direction clear from problem framing through launch.
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, Research, Revenue, Client Services, and Leadership to tie design decisions to business results and customer value.
  • Turn data-heavy, technical systems into interfaces that let people decide quickly and confidently.
  • Set the standard for a good AI response and work with Engineering on the evaluations that test for it.
  • Create frameworks, patterns, and processes that keep quality and consistency high across teams and surfaces.
  • Balance usability, automation, and performance, including latency, streaming, and cost per interaction, in the design direction.
  • Mentor other designers, sharing context, feedback, and systems thinking.
  • Help shape the company's design practices so products, processes, and experiences scale well.

Requirements

  • Deep experience designing complex products, ideally in data-driven, enterprise, or workflow-heavy settings.
  • Experience designing AI-powered products, including unpredictable failures and interfaces that are generated rather than fixed.
  • Hands-on fluency with AI tools in your own work, including coded prototypes that call live models, using tools such as Cursor or Claude Code.
  • A clear point of view on where AI design is going, and a record of acting on it.
  • Strong skills in interaction design, prototyping, and information architecture, with the ability to make abstract ideas visual and clear.
  • A proven ability to link design choices to measurable business and user outcomes.
  • Experience working across technical, commercial, and operational teams toward shared goals.
  • Craft and strategy in balance: you can simplify complexity and focus a team on what matters most.
  • Clear communication and storytelling for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Conditions

Remote-first, open to candidates located anywhere in Canada or the US.

Base salary band for Canada: $148,000 to $203,500 CAD. Base salary band for the USA: $156,000 to $214,500 USD. These are base figures only.
