Description

The company builds health technology that makes healthcare easier to understand, reach, and afford, and it serves more than 40 million people each month.

You will act as an embedded analytical partner inside a growing business unit, owning problems from start to finish instead of only carrying out requests.

You will receive the business goal and the freedom to decide how to build and deliver the answer.

The work covers the full analytics cycle, from building reporting and automation to tackling strategic questions such as decision engines, experiment evaluation, customer lifetime value, retention, churn, and commercial growth.

You will sit between engineering and executive leaders, shaping tracking upstream and turning behavioral data into operational and product decisions.

You will work alongside experienced data practitioners and cross-functional leaders who mentor and challenge each other.

Responsibilities

  • Take analytical projects from start to finish: gather requirements with cross-functional stakeholders, set milestones, and turn vague business problems into structured plans.
  • Build and maintain scalable datasets and semantic layers, using tools such as dbt and SQL, that serve as trusted single sources of truth for reporting and agent-based workflows.
  • Work through incomplete or messy data, make reasoned assumptions, and give business partners clear recommendations they can act on.
  • Use modern analytics tools and AI coding assistants to speed up development, checking every output through review, validation, and testing.
  • Work with data and software engineers on tracking and infrastructure needs, then present findings to business leaders as executive-level stories with concrete next steps.

Requirements

  • Required: A bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as data science, statistics, or computer science, or equivalent experience.
  • Required: A proven background in data analysis, modeling, visualization, and reporting.
  • Required: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Required: Careful attention to detail when working with complex datasets.
  • Required: Clear communication and teamwork.
  • Required: The capacity to juggle several projects and meet deadlines.
  • Required: At least 2 years of advanced SQL for pulling, reshaping, and analyzing data.
  • Required: Skill in cleaning and structuring data with modeling tools such as SQL, dbt, or LookML.
  • Required: Working knowledge of visualization software such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI, plus database querying.
  • Required: Hands-on work with at least one cloud data warehouse such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift.
  • Preferred: Python or R, used to run statistical analysis and automate tasks.
  • Preferred: Hands-on data transformation, modeling, and semantic definitions with dbt, LookML, or modular SQL.
  • Preferred: Strong statistics skills and knowledge of statistical methods.
  • Preferred: Comfort with ambiguity, structuring messy data and making sound recommendations under uncertainty.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with AI tools and coding assistants that speed up work without losing accuracy or code quality.

Conditions

Starting salary is $70,000 to $95,000, depending on location, qualifications, and experience.

The role is hybrid: you will work in the office Tuesday through Thursday, and you may work remotely on Mondays and Fridays if you choose.

Office location: 1101 Red Ventures Dr, Fort Mill, SC 29707.
