Responsibilities

• Build and keep working relationships with every relevant contact in your district, at all levels, and visit customers regularly.
• Lead, coach and direct all customer engineers in your district, including salary and career planning, performance objectives and appraisals, and corrective actions when needed.
• Share business updates, new hire news and new product information with employees, and invite guest speakers when useful.
• Prepare the reports the business needs and act as the main contact for the product divisions on tech support, training, spare parts and reliability.
• Track the quarterly results of the CSD Award Program, including elections and announcements, and make sure every new engineer has an assigned mentor.
• Carry out the escalation procedure.
• Plan accounts with the district sales engineer and give CSD management, sales and field engineering the support plan for system sales.
• Own the district's financial forecast and cost efficiency, measured by financial results.
• Plan, report on and run system installations, including pre-facility and start-up meetings and identifying process support needs.
• Manage the RMA process, assess each engineer's effectiveness, and keep customer engineer hour tracking accurate and up to date. Check and sign hours, and take corrective action with engineers where needed.
• Give direction to employees within company policies and management guidance, and apply company policies that affect your team.
• Recommend changes to unit or sub-unit policies. Work from objectives, goals and the agreed process for reaching them, and expect management to review your results against those objectives.
• Analyse situations and data that call for review of several factors.
• Use judgment within set procedures and policies to decide the right action.
• Present technical information on specific projects or schedules, and win the cooperation of others.
• Your decisions and results affect schedules. Mistakes or missed results can cause delays.

Full time, assignee or regular employee.

Based in Manassas, VA.

Travel is required for about 10% of the time.

Relocation is available.

Pay is set by location, hire grade, job knowledge, skills and experience, and takes internal equity into account. The posted range is $88,000.00 - $121,000.00.

For sales roles, the posted range is the Target Total Cash range, which is base salary plus target bonus at 100% goal achievement.
