Technical Product Support Engineer III

Responsibilities

• Own all technical support for one assigned customer, covering escalations, fleet performance, installations, improvement programs and upgrades.
• Serve as the link between the customer and the division, and as the focal point for field escalations. Supply technical support and documents to field engineers, technicians and product support staff who diagnose, repair and debug equipment.
• Support Alpha Site work with engineering on the installation, operation, calibration, service or testing of new hardware, processes or software, whether in-house or on an engineering tool.
• Support Beta Site work on a customer tool covering installation, operation, calibration, service or testing of new hardware, software or processes.
• Start and review engineering change orders to confirm the data supports the fix, then communicate the outcome to the field.
• Produce and present system performance data on request, including MTBF, MTBI and availability. Reporting also covers process data and analysis of I/W spending.
• Help the GPS group write CENs and BKMs. Write and review documents on technical improvements, system upgrades and support plans, present them to the customer, and make sure they are carried out in the field.

• Explain difficult or sensitive information clearly and work toward consensus.

Conditions

Full-time, regular assignee position.

Travel is required for about 50% of the time.

Relocation assistance is available.

Based in Benicia, CA.

Pay is $110,500.00 - $152,000.00 and is set by location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills and experience, with attention to internal equity.

For sales roles, the posted range is the Target Total Cash range, meaning base salary plus target bonus at 100% goal achievement.
