Technical Support Lead

Description

You will join a technology company within the global Accenture group that works only with the US federal government. The company has more than 13,000 people serving defense, national security, public safety, civilian, and military health clients.

The role supports a client in the Columbia, MD area as a Technical Support Lead in IT Operations.

You will manage the security and running of complex IT environments, with a focus on Linux systems and cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong cybersecurity controls, including setting up and watching network intrusion detection and prevention systems.
• Work hands-on with virtualization and with the design of cloud and data center environments.
• Manage and tune resources on Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.
• Simplify processes and make systems more reliable.
• Build security and operational best practices into continuous deployment workflows.
• Keep all IT operations compliant and manage risk.

Requirements

• At least 3 years in general IT, cybersecurity, CNO software, or security research.
• At least 3 years managing Linux systems.
• Working knowledge of networking, such as TCP/IP, virtualization, and cloud or data center architecture.
• Experience with automation and scripting tools such as PowerShell, Ansible Playbooks, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, BASH, and similar.
• Experience with service desk tools such as JIRA, Redmine, or ServiceNow.
• Experience with knowledge management systems such as Confluence or GitLab.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to sit for a polygraph.
• Bonus: experience with DevOps pipeline tools such as Jenkins, Git, or Docker.
• Bonus: experience working in cloud environments.
• Bonus: experience with NIST Risk Management Framework processes.
• Bonus: ability to adapt to changing technology, spot vulnerabilities early, and build solutions that fit organizational goals.

Conditions

The base pay range for this role is $103,200 - $196,400 USD in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, where local law requires pay ranges to be shared.

Final pay depends on factors including office location, role, skill set, and experience level.
