Description

The company's Digital Campus in Albacete is hiring a Tech Lead for web development in the Spares, MRO and Training domain. The role is at Professional experience level and requires 3 to 5 years of experience.

The team manages code delivery for Digital projects in the Spares, MRO and Training area and is responsible for the security, quality and stability of the application code.

The team builds and supports customer-facing apps for ordering spares and repairing parts, apps that train customer pilots and technicians, and apps used by the maintenance center for blade repair.

You will work between project and application managers, managed service providers and end users to keep the service running well.

The company's workforce is managed across countries, so the job is run in English.

Responsibilities

  • Work with product owners and business stakeholders to turn functional needs into technical specifications and cost estimates.
  • Lead and mentor the web development team, which is mainly outsourced today, and build a habit of continuous improvement and high technical standards.
  • Design modern web architectures that are scalable, fast and secure.
  • Own code quality: set software development life cycle practices and coding standards, lead code reviews, and manage technical debt so the solutions stay maintainable over the long term.
  • Spot pain points early and suggest improvements to architecture, tools, security and workflows. Track new web technologies and standards and adopt the ones that fit.
  • Investigate complex technical problems and keep web applications running smoothly. Handle production incidents and hotfixes with a calm, disciplined method.
  • Lead technical exploration before development starts. Assess and recommend new frameworks, technologies and tools. Build proofs of concept to test feasibility, reduce technical risk and support business decisions.
  • Define and update the web development technical roadmap so it matches business goals and industry trends.
  • Drive the full release process as the technical gatekeeper, making sure production deployments are safe, reliable and successful.

Requirements

  • Required technical expertise:
  • Front-end: strong command of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and TypeScript, and solid Angular experience.
  • Back-end: strong Java and Spring or Spring Boot experience.
  • Architecture and system design: you can build robust, scalable and maintainable systems, and you understand API design, service-oriented and microservices architectures, performance, and security issues such as OWASP and authentication standards.
  • Code quality: you enforce best practices, code splitting and optimization.
  • Databases: solid knowledge of relational databases and database design.
  • Git: you can define a strict versioning strategy and use advanced Git commands.
  • DevOps: you understand CI/CD principles and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes. You do not need to be a DevOps expert.
  • Optional, marked as Bonus: React, Python, Node.js (NestJS), automated testing, Clean Architecture, TDD, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), a software craftsmanship mindset, NoSQL or MongoDB, and Red Hat OpenShift.
  • Optional, marked as Significant advantage: proven experience with large enterprise integrations, especially SAP Hybris or SAP Commerce Cloud, Mirakl Marketplace, and core SAP environments such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC6 and ABAP.
  • Optional, marked as Advantage: knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and middleware, with experience in Mulesoft (API Gateway and ESB), TIBCO ESB, or event-driven streaming such as Solace.
  • Optional, marked as Bonus: knowledge of the SAFe framework at scale.
  • Agile: a deep understanding of Scrum, active participation in ceremonies, and a natural fit with Agile teams.
  • Workflow: expert use of Jira and the ability to split complex technical work into clear, actionable tickets.
  • Crisis handling: quick, rigorous and calm when resolving production incidents.
  • Quality assurance: experience with unit, functional and integration testing.
  • Learning from problems: you run post-mortems after a production issue or a hard sprint and put lasting fixes in place.
  • Technical debt: you identify, rank and manage it continuously within the development lifecycle.
  • Risk and dependencies: you spot technical dependencies and risks early so delivery does not stall.
  • Estimation: you estimate technical effort and timelines accurately so sprint goals and delivery plans are realistic.
  • Communication: you write and speak clearly to technical teams and business stakeholders, and you explain complex technical limits in plain language to non-technical people.
  • Pragmatism: you find sensible trade-offs between technical quality, business needs and deadlines, and you keep an MVP mindset.
  • Big-picture thinking: you understand the final product, user behavior and company strategy, and use that to steer technical choices.
  • Leadership: you inspire the team and help junior developers grow.
  • Initiative: you look for ways to improve the codebase and dev environment rather than only completing tasks.
  • Tech watch: you keep up with technology and encourage innovation through knowledge sharing and tech talks.
  • Mindset: rigorous, self-directed, and a strong team player.
  • Customer focus: you care about delivering value to end users.
  • Language: advanced English is mandatory.
