Description

The Ecommerce Engineering Team builds a scalable, high-performance platform for ecommerce experiences serving US and international customers.

The platform reaches millions of customers across several channels, with most traffic coming from mobile web on Safari and Chrome, plus a native iOS app for the most loyal customers.

As a Software Engineer, you will help design and build key features for the ecommerce offering.

Responsibilities

• Build features using an evolving design and iterative development process that balances quality with delivery speed.
• Work with senior engineers to clarify business and technical requirements.
• Learn the challenges of scale, resiliency and operational efficiency, and help solve them.
• Take part in production releases, including branching, QA handoff, release runbooks and smooth deployments.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of software development experience building serverless microservices and distributed systems.
• Hands-on work with Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL and Python, including FastAPI.
• Working knowledge of front-end tools such as NextJS, ReactJS, Redux, HTML5 and CSS3.
• At least 2 years of professional experience designing and architecting new and existing systems, not counting internships.
• Experience with ecommerce platforms such as BigCommerce, Commerce tools or Shopify.
• Understanding of design patterns, reliability and scaling.
• Strong attention to detail, a drive to learn, and a collaborative, competitive attitude toward shared goals.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification.

Conditions

This is a salaried exempt position with a base salary range of $90,000 to $110,000 per year.

Actual pay depends on location, experience and performance, and the final base salary may occasionally be above the top of the range.

The base salary is one part of the total rewards package for exempt employees.
