Systems Engineer

You will keep the company's public cloud and on-premises systems stable, secure and performing well.

The role covers system administration, infrastructure management, security support, storage, backup and recovery, and capacity and resource planning.

This is a hybrid role based in Los Angeles, CA.

Responsibilities

• Run and troubleshoot Windows and Linux servers.
• Oversee virtual machines across Azure, Azure Local (Azure Stack HCI) and VMware.
• Help run Azure services such as Azure Arc and Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Handle enterprise storage: NAS, SAN, local disks and Azure Files.
• Operate and monitor backup and recovery tools so systems stay available and data stays protected.
• Support Microsoft 365 apps: Entra ID, Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online and Zoom.
• Control user access, identities, permissions and collaboration tools to meet security and operations standards.
• Help with core network services and troubleshooting, including DHCP.
• Manage digital certificates through their full lifecycle.
• Write and maintain PowerShell automation, and help with infrastructure as code using Terraform or Bicep.
• Plan and carry out patching across infrastructure platforms.
• Write accurate technical documentation covering configurations, procedures and support guides.
• Work with Technology teams and vendors to fix infrastructure issues, improve reliability and support projects.

Requirements

• At least 5 years in infrastructure administration or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.
• Solid working knowledge of hybrid platforms such as Azure Stack HCI and Azure Local.
• Proficiency with infrastructure as code.
• Sound understanding of administering Linux and Windows servers.
• Familiarity with NAS and SAN storage management and its best practices.
• Experience planning and running backup and recovery.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic grasp of networking principles to help resolve incidents.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Conditions

Hybrid role based in Los Angeles, CA.

Base salary of $100,000-$130,000 per year for this exempt position.

Actual pay depends on factors such as location, experience and performance, and on occasion the final agreed salary may exceed the top of the range where applicable.

The base salary range is one part of the company's total rewards package for exempt employees.
