Description

The company is expanding its existing commerce offerings into new growth areas. It gives merchants access to high-value cardmembers across its digital properties and partner placements, combining its scale, customer relationships and real purchase data to deliver ads that are relevant to customers and produce measurable, incremental results for advertisers.

This senior individual contributor role reports to the Head of Product and carries day-to-day ownership of a defined set of ad and offers capabilities within the company Commerce. You will turn product strategy and commercial needs into detailed technical specs, run each feature from requirements through build, testing and launch, and act as the main link between the commercial side and the technology teams.

It is a hands-on role in an emerging commerce business at a large, heavily regulated financial institution. You will handle third-party AdTech and MarTech integrations at a working level and work through the governance and compliance steps needed to bring new products to market.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out the roadmap for your assigned ad and offers capabilities, turning priorities from the Head of Product into delivery plans that keep launches on schedule and up to standard
  • Write and maintain detailed technical requirements and business specifications that engineers can build from, based on commercial and advertiser needs
  • Be the main contact between commercial and technology teams, aligning them on requirements, weighing trade-offs and keeping work moving through every stage of development
  • Own working-level integrations with DSPs, ad servers, clean rooms and identity providers, including vendor relationships and integration timelines
  • Lead testing and quality assurance, including user acceptance testing and performance checks, so each capability meets commercial and technical standards before launch
  • Act as product owner through legal, risk and regulatory reviews, preparing documents and securing approvals for new features and launches within the governance framework set by the Head of Product
  • Monitor product and system performance after launch, spot problems and improvement opportunities, and escalate recommendations to the Head of Product
  • Assess risk in business decisions with close attention to the firm's reputation and its clients and assets, comply with laws, rules, regulations and internal policy, and report control issues openly

Requirements

  • 10+ years of product management experience in digital advertising, adtech, martech or commerce media
  • Solid knowledge of the ad technology stack, including ad serving, targeting, measurement and delivery systems
  • Proven record of writing detailed technical requirements and business specifications and working closely with engineering through the full development cycle
  • Experience running third-party technology integrations in advertising at a working level, including vendor onboarding and ongoing management
  • Experience getting work through governance, compliance and regulatory approval in a large or regulated organization
  • Strong stakeholder management, with the ability to align commercial and technology teams around shared goals at a working and mid-senior level
  • Comfortable working in unclear, fast-changing settings and creating process and structure where none exists
  • Bachelor's or university degree required
  • Preferred: experience in commerce media, retail media or financial services advertising, which is strongly preferred
  • Preferred: experience with card-linked offers or loyalty product capabilities
  • Preferred: background at a publisher, retail media network, DSP, SSP or adtech platform
  • Preferred: experience building or scaling a new ad product from early stage through launch
  • Preferred: familiarity with clean rooms, identity solutions, attribution platforms and programmatic infrastructure
  • Preferred: Master's degree
